One of Cassian's favorite parts of Milliways is the food, because while he loves to cook, there's never that much time. And dorm kitchens never seem to work as well as they might. That's why he's sitting at a table with a generous plate of chilaquiles and a coffee in front of him as he reads over a report in Spanish.

Draven was able to get him access to copies of official documents about the last Mexico City earthquake and he's putting post it notes on it as he reads. He's also watching Milliways go by because he never tires of that and since Jyn's not working at the library yet, no reason to be there instead of here.

Bodhi comes in from what looks like a pretty average Mediterranean tourist town. Without noticing Cassian at all, he goes to the bar and asks for a large vegetarian pizza to go and a handful of very specific, mostly middle eastern spices.

Only, he doesn't quite look like the Bodhi Cassian might know - shorter hair, lean to the point of unhealthy, second-hand clothes clearly two sizes too big, and with spotted burn scars up his forearms.

Cassian notices him and starts to speak then stops. Milliways is odd and he's yet to meet someone he actually knows here, but he's curious.

He stands up to get more coffee and says. "Hello, this is going to sound odd but you look like someone I know."

"Then I apologise for your friends awful looks." Bodhi's answers jokingly. Then flushes a bit. "Sorry. I've spent the day shopping with my sisters. Sarcasm is my last line of defence."

He smiles and shrugs, an odd joke feels like Bodhi. "Its a useful one with siblings."

Cassian doesn't have any actual siblings but he's seen those kinds of relationships and Kay is basically his brother in all but name.

"I'm looking on it as a coping mechanism." Bodhi muses. "They're making the most of being somewhere new and safe."

"Oh, you recently moved?" Maybe this other Bodhi's a refugee but that's not a polite question to ask.

[imthepilot]

Bodhi nods. "We fled a war-zone." He can't see the point in hiding it. "But we've found somewhere safe now. And my sisters are making the most of it. They're decorating the holiday cabin we're staying in."

"I'm sorry, leaving home's always hard. I'm far away for school, because Yavin has the best program. That's good. I'm Cassian."

He offers Bodhi his hand.

[imthepilot]

"It's worth it, to keep my sisters safe."

Bodhi takes his hand, ignoring his own scars. "Bodhi. Yavin is in America, right?"

(OOC: Handwaves exactly where it is.)

"Yeah, on the East Coast. I'm from Fest which is in Mexico." Cassian notes the scars but doesn't stare.

"I've heard Mexico is beautiful. I've never been but," he shrugs.

"It is. I hope you're able to travel how you want now you're safe."

[imthepilot]

"To be honest, I'd be happy to stay somewhere for a while. Just... get use to not looking over my shoulder all the time. And give my sisters a change to have a normal life."

[makes_the_toys]

"Something smells delicious... " notes the man who happens to be wandering by and catches wind of Cassian's dinner.

Cisco may not be a super-sniffer like some, but that doesn't mean he can't track down a delicious aroma, and since it's coming from the table he happens to be stopped beside, it's not all that hard.

Seeing the food, Cisco smiles, but it falls off a moment later when he spots Cassian.

"Dude. You trying to copy my look?"

Cassian looks up with a frown, he's wearing a shirt that says: Yavin University: Making a Better World.

"No, I don't even know you and longer hair isn't that much of a look."

[makes_the_toys]

Cisco's shirt declares 'Tesla is my Homeboy. He throws Cassian a wounded look before going defensive.

"Okay first, you're just jelly, because I definitely do the locks and the wardrobe better." Fact. "Second, are you, or are you not Cassian, space pilot?"

He gives Cisco a long look because no, Cisco doesn't look that much better.

"My name's Cassian but I'm not a pilot. I'm studying civil engineering at Yavin University. Who are you?"

[makes_the_toys]

Cisco is hot stuff and he knows it.

"C'mon, no you're not," Cisco scoffs, waving Cassian off. A beat as he considers the situation, and then Cisco's expression turns excited.

"OHHHH, duuuude, you're another Cassian," he declares with glee, pointing at Cassian. "Doppelganger!"

Cassian knocks the pointing finger away. "No, just another one. Doppelganger makes it seem like I stole his life or something awful like that."

Cisco jerks his arm back, shaking his hand out.

"Ow, slappy. What's your proof that you haven't? For all I know, you could be a body-snatching supervillain, hellbent on infiltrating the end of the universe for some nefarious purpose."

[childofrebellion]

"No, how many supervillains have you met here? And if I was going to do that I'd find some better disguise than a college student?"

He didn't hit the hand back that hard and gives Cisco a look, because that's just stupid.

[makes_the_toys]

"A few," he replies. "College student would be the perfect disguise. No one would suspect until it was too late."

Obviously. Not that Cisco believes this Cassian is actually a super-villain.

"Whatever your diabolical motivations are, the fact remains that you're some sort of multiversal clone of the guy I'm used to seeing around here. Which is kind of cool."

"Graduate student would be better, they're let onto more places on campus." Cassian smiles at the being called a clone. "I guess, its very Milliways."

[makes_the_toys]

"Sounds like you've given this some consideration," Cisco notes, eying Cassian with mock suspicion.

"Totally Milliways," he nods. "You wouldn't be willing to give over a blood and hair sample, would you?"

"My advisor really likes failure analysis so I'm always thinking about what could go wrong. No, what would you do with them? Do you have some from the other me?"
