There is a corpse reclining in a cushioned chair by the fire. Maybe. It's hard to tell with Reaper sometimes. At the very least the man who looks like he might have come in from a Halloween festival hasn't moved for a few hours. Maybe days.

You find yourself a stick, and you use it to poke that person.
Stumbling across dead bodies isn't unusual for Wilford, but a person could at least have the decency to not keel over right where he likes to have his lunch.

But the guy's not dead, so that's fine. Wilford finds another seat nearby, since he's still not entirely sure about this guy's status as a corpse.

Certainly not sit next to it. That's gross.

"Saying 'hey' would be most people's first step."
Not Reaper's, but he's pretty sure Wilford can't do what he does to corpses so it wouldn't be a helpful answer.

"Stick did the job, didn't it?" he asks. "I'm not gonna wait around to see if the dead guy's really dead, or just sleeping off a bender. Leaving corpses around is how you get zombies."
He says this without even the vaguest hint of irony or sarcasm.
"I ain't messing with no zombies."
no subject
"But you'll poke them with sticks?" That doesn't seem very bright to him. At least by speaking first he could stand further away.

If it talks, it's probably not a zombie.

One zombie isn't so much of a problem, as long as you kill it. It's when it's allowed to make more zombies that you have a problem.

Not that Wilford seems particularly jumpy but being shot on reflex is never a fun time.

But if poking a suspected corpse with a stick counts as violence, something has gone very, very wrong.

He's not sure if he's impolitely staring at something living or stumbling upon something gruesome, so he does approach cautiously, scanning over Reaper for signs that he's either living or perished.

If Dumbledore's not blocking the fire then he gets no response.

"Ah, excuse me, sir...?" he asks, loud enough but also politely.

"You want something?" It sounds like an idle query, more curiosity than antagonism behind it. He hasn't seen clothes like that outside of the holovids.

"This is my standard state of being."
He isn't disagreeing that something is wrong but he's fairly used to his condition by now.

To be fair, he's a bit dead too.
Reaper gives another shrug, a little more obvious. "Just soaking up the heat." He's not bothered by Dumbledore's presence but he understands if the man finds him unsettling.
That's kind of the goal after all.

"Understandable, given the winter months," he says with a small smile. "And it is a cozy fireplace that the bar has."
no subject
"I can't feel it." Despite the distortion of his voice, there seems to be an amused undertone.
