The mansion is big but even Alex is pretty sure the Professor doesn't have a whole bar hidden away. They'd have found it sooner. Because boy did they try and explore everywhere when they were first brought there. There were a few exceptions but mostly they were given the run of the place. And Sean wouldn't have been able to keep this place a secret from him. In fact he'd quite like to go grab his friend and drag him along to show him, because there would be no way he'd believe him later. Raven, well he wouldn't put it past her to keep it from the boys. The best part was he actually looked vaguely presentable for turning up in a random place and not that he'd just spent the past few hours down in the nuclear bunker setting things on fire in the name of training. Which is what he had been doing.
But he could just sit down for the moment and getting a drink wouldn't hurt... He could get in trouble later. For now Milliways have a new mutant.

He gives Alex a sidelong look for a few moments, as if trying to figure out if he's seen him around before, before grabbing a Welcome Pamphlet from the Bar and sliding it over.
"Here."
Yamato's never read the pamphlets all the way through, but he's pretty sure they have at least a rough explanation of what the bar is and what its rules are.
no subject
"Um, thanks?"
no subject
Although the last time he gave someone that pamphlet, he still had to explain everything.
"First drink is free, by the way."
no subject
"Okay but one question at least, how do I get that first drink?" Because he wasn't sure he saw anyone he could actually ask for that drink. Yeah, he wanted beer then.
no subject
It occurs to Yamato, briefly, that that explanation leaves something to be desired and he's not exactly patient enough to keep circling the topic for as long as it might take to fully explain it, so perhaps a demonstration is in order.
"Here, like this," he says, and turns towards the Bar. "I'll have a vanilla milkshake."
There's a split second pause before a tall milkshake topped with whipped cream materialises atop the Bar. Yamato makes a momentary, only slightly sarcastic 'ta-daaa' gesture at it.
no subject
"Huh." He gets a little closer to the Bar. "Can I get a beer?" It's debatable if he should have a beer but it turns up and he grabs the bottle and takes a drink.
"Maybe this place isn't so bad."

"I'm Alex by the way."
no subject
He rubs the back of his neck for a moment, just a tiny bit awkwardly.
"This place is weird the first few times, but it'll become routine and normal pretty quickly. It does for most people, at least."
no subject
"You sound like you're here a lot."

He's glad he asked for a beer.
no subject
Beat.
"Or you won't. In which case I guess you're going to hate it here."
no subject
As such, there's a long-legged California girl in the tiniest of denim cut-offs, rose-gold flip-flops and a off-the-shoulder Barbie-pink 'I beat Wolverine in a fist-fight and all I got was this lousy t-shirt' t-shirt chilling at the bar with a bottle of beer.
There's a little silver 'Security' badge pinned to the top, sparkling in the light.

"No," she deadpans, "Just his fan club."
no subject
"I'm safe then." He hadn't wanted to help them.
no subject
(Let's not mention that she may, once upon a time, have been a member of that fan club herself.)
Molly grins, raising her bottle as if to say 'cheers'.
"I'm Molly."
no subject
"Alex." He nods.
no subject
Although she's not around so often herself, these days.
no subject
He shrugs.
"Yeah I wasn't really planning on this today."
no subject
She tips her head back to drain the last of the beer from her bottle.
"Anyone give you the introduction speech yet?"
no subject
"Yeah, I've been told. But no one's told me how I get back home. I mean this place is nice and all that but people will eventually miss me."
no subject
"Funny boy." She gestures with the bottle to where the main door should be. "Can you see a door over there?"
no subject
He glanced to where she pointed, thankfully he saw a door there. "Yeah, there's a door. Why wouldn't there be a door?"
no subject
Oh, thank God, he's got a door. Nobody likes breaking bad news along with the introductions.
"'Cause if there isn't, you're stuck here temporarily. People call it 'Bound'. Time doesn't pass outside, so you don't have to worry about people missing you, but it doesn't always go over so well with the Bar's lucky victims. It is temporary, though."
Unless he's dead, maybe, but... baby steps.
"Generally speaking, so long as there's a door over there, you can get back out whenever you want. Just walk through it."
no subject
"Oh thank God," he says wearily as noises of gunfire and heavy rain enter the closing door, "Never thought I'd be this happy to see Milliways."
Of course he's dripping on the floor.

"Hi,"says Daniel taking in the glowing fist, "I'm Daniel."
Daniel smiles as he tries to make himself look as non threatening as possible while holding a P90.
no subject
"Alex." He's still eyeing the gun as well as the guy warily.
no subject
Distract the being with the glowing fist. He's still dripping on the floor and he's glad he didn't get with any stunner blasts. There is a 9mm on his belt, and a Zat'ni'katel on his thigh.
no subject
Alex shakes his hand and the glow disappears. "Yeah. Where did you come from?"
no subject
He's not too shook up. Drip, drip, at least his nose isn't dripping, like that guard in Teal'c's joke.
no subject
"Where?" He's going to need to hear all that again.
