Cassian's thinking about various plans when he enters and doesn't notice he's in a costume until he feels the weight of his blaster isn't at his hip. The counter mirror's closest and he gently touches the skull makeup, it feels appropriate, he's got one of those missions soon.

So he orders a mezcal that Bar recommends to sip as he looks around to see if he understands any of the other costumes.

"Bar got you too, huh?" Yamato asks, raising an eyebrow. His costume is much less skeleton-y than Cassian's, admittedly. "Yours is at least kind of appropriate to the whole theme of Halloween."

"She's gotten me before, this one at least I know the connection. What are you meant to be?"

He's never seen Yamato this formal before.

"I think I'm meant to be 'uncomfortable and covered in too many layers,'" Yamato says dryly. "Or possibly Yamato Takeru. Er, the last one."

Purported last one. Whatevs.

"That would explain all the layers. You'd fit in with Naboo or Alderaan's courts." Yamato can pull it off even though he's clearly uncomfortable.

Yamato snorts. "Until I open my mouth, at least."

He's pretty unsuited for any kind of high society.

"What are you meant to be? I mean, a skeleton, I guess, but any particular kind of skeleton?"

"Senator Organa would probably like your honesty. I don't think so just death walking."

Yamato would fit in well with many parts of the Rebellion, Draven would want to recruit him.

"Dramatic," Yamato remarks mildly, raising an eyebrow just a little. "Who's Senator Organa, anyway? You've never mentioned them before."

Cassian shrugs and takes a sip enjoying the burn of the drink, "He's a good man who's trying to create change from within."

"Is he having any success?"

Yamato tends to find that 'change from within' never works as well as its proponents would like.

"Not really, he's getting relief to planets that need and he's been able to make some things not as bad as they might be. But the Emperor holds all the power."

[angry_friendship_wolf]

"I guess even if that's all he can do, it's still worth it. At least so long as he wouldn't be more useful elsewhere."

"I don't think he would be. He's been there and trying for a long time."

Cassian has a lot of respect for Senator Organa, his work is complicated but always reaching towards good.

"Best of luck to him then. Hopefully he can keep making things better, even if it's just in small ways."

[skyhigh_seance]

Klaus is leaning against the bar, a bottle of rum at his elbow, as he tries in vain to pry the mask off his face. It's a break from trying to get the tie off, that thing is tenacious.

Cassian looks over and watches the prying effort for a bit, he's already seen that his makeup isn't smudging when it should be, "I don't think its going to leave until the end of Halloween. What are you meant to be?"

"You know, I don't think anyone ever figured that out." Klaus notes with complete sincerity, while completely dodging the question. Meanwhile, somewhere in the multiverse, there's a gaggle of teenaged fans who know the answer. "What about you?"

That's an interesting answer so this outfit is a uniform, "Death or a skeleton, Bar's keeping it simple for me this year."

[skyhigh_seance]

"Lucky dog." Klaus mutters, grumbling. He's back to trying to pry the mask off his face - he's managed it in the past, so surely this one will come off too.

Or something, right?

"Who's ass did you have to kiss?"

Cassian shrugs, so far he hasn't minded any of his costumes, "No one's, but I do bartend often."

[skyhigh_seance]

"Huh, maybe that's it." Klaus sighs. Figures. Everyone always wants work for things, so weird.

"Bar always likes it when she can take a break. And she seems to like it when people enjoy the costumes, I think that means she gives them more options."

That seems like what might happen with Emcee.

[skyhigh_seance]

"Humph." Klaus sulks, swigging down more rum to drown the bitterness. "Maybe next year, huh?"

"Hopefully though I don't understand why this one's so bad for you. It seems constricting but not awful. Is there an association attached to it for you?"

[skyhigh_seance]

"Does this look like something I'd wear?" Klaus asks, as openly disbelieving as possible. After all, his skinny junkie ass surely doesn't look like one that belongs in a private school suit. Or a superhero mask. Ludicrous, right?

"No, you look odd in it." Cassian doesn't have the reference to know its meant to look like a private school uniform.
