Danny has decided it's time for some training for Pei--and of course the littlest living weapon had nothing to do with the deciding--and so he puts up a notice on the board:

Fight Club Out Back
Learn new skills or test yours against others.
Fight fair and let's not make extra work for Security
All ages welcome
(Circle rings are for hand to hand, Square for weapons, and Triangle for instruction)

That done, he takes Pei to the kitchen to grab a wagon and a couple of coolers, fills the coolers with ice, and then heads back to Bar. There he sets the cooler on her surface, asks for them to be filled with freshwater and whatever sparing gear she can offer him. Loading the box and coolers into the wagon, he nods for Pei to follow and heads outside to the training area.

He sets the padded gloves (boxing and mixed martial arts style) out by the circle ring for hand to hand fights. He shakes his head at the foam weapons but sets them out by the square rings regardless. Then gestures for Pei to join him at the triangular ring to start working through some forms as a warm-up.

The Rules are simple:
- This post, and any post with the subject heading ALL SKATE are open to everyone.
That means old characters, new characters, retired characters, doubles of characters, original characters, non-canon compliant characters.

- This is a party style post, you do not have to tag Danny to play.
- Only a Security pup can physically break up a fight. If you want one to go past sparing, that's fine, but you must contact a Security mun for them to come in and end the fight if that is how you want it to end.

At the instruction ring

"I have been doing forms since I could walk." Pei doesn't quite pout, she's too much of a warrior for that, but you might see a hint of one if you squint.

Danny smiles and keeps moving through the forms. "I think there are swings over that way if you would prefer."

Pei brows knit and she scowls, doubling down on her focus.

Teja is hanging about, leaning on his axe and idly watching proceedings.

Michael is just going to watch this from the sidelines, get a look at what kind of people there are here. No way is he actually going to spar with anyone. Murder isn't exactly a good look.

He walks slowly up and down the circles and squares and triangles, easy to tell which is for what level of fight. Maybe, after a while, he'll jump into the hand to hand circle and see what his normal self can do.

Theo is not a physical fighter. He's got a wife who can terrorize most people and those she can't, he tends to creep people out enough. Like he walked on their grave. If need be he can pull out some other tricks, but those he didn't like doing. He was just going by the fighting when he sensed a rather interesting thing.

Stopping in dead in his tracks, he frowned trying to pin point the feeling. Spotting the Thing he walked over to Michael. And just studies him. He gets "Vampire". But it's a wrong sort of vampire. He's sensed different sorts of vampires before because of different worlds but... this one is just odd.

Odder than usual.

Michael's not as used to people just walking up to him as he should be, so he takes a step back. "Can I help you?"

Yamato ambles over to the circle rings, hanging around them for anyone who wants to fight.

What? It's been at least a few weeks. He's got pent up tension he needs to get rid of.

Cassian sees the sign for a fight club, he's used to sparring with his fellow rebels but he hasn't done it in Milliways. When he sees the other boy waiting by the circle ring, he walks over, carefully folds his jacket and rolls up his sleeves, "You up for a match."

There's still a healing bruise on his face from a fight he got into on Coruscant.

"Sure. Gotta regain my honour after you beat me last time, right?" Yamato says airily, taking off his jacket.

"You up for a spar?" Michael isn't, really, but he's got some pent up tension to get rid of, too.

"Sure thing," Yamato says easily. "Do you need gloves? There's definitely a box of gloves around here somewhere."

Barry is heading towards the lake for a run when he notices all of the activity going on. He missed the sign inside, but it's not hard to determine what's happening.

When he spots Yamato Barry wanders over, giving a smile.

"Hey man, figures I'd find you out here."

"Of course. I never turn down a free fight," Yamato says cheerfully. "Hey. Hey. Hey, Barry. Hey. Guess what."

He reaches to the cord around his neck, tugging on it to pull his Crest pendant out from under his shirt. The lens is faintly glowing, and apparently giving off enough of a chill that the air around it is visibly frosting.

It took a couple of false starts to figure out where the instruction ring is, and a bit of overly-virtuous promising that he wasn't going to be too extreme to get Baze to leave him to it, but Chirrut is is now there, staff in hand. He hasn't taught much in years, but...

Well, some things you just don't forget.

Also his stretches look fairly improbable. Is his leg supposed to be able to do that?

Eh, Pei has seen much the same from some of the older monks. She approaches and sits, in a proper seiza, with her hands open and in her lap as she waits for him to finish. She is curious to see what he might teach her, but is polite. She also knows not to push teachers who are not Danny Rand-K'ai.

Chirrut eventually un-knots himself, not-so-secretly charmed by such a polite little mite. He mimics her posture, his smile a bright, beaming thing.

"May the Force of others be with you. I am Chirrut Imwe."

Sameth hasn't been looking for doors as he's been trying to make sense of the current situation in the Old Kingdom. When he finds one and sees the sign, he nods to himself, a good round of sparring will help.

Since he's been in his workshop, he's already in his shirt and heads to a square where he starts testing out the practice swords.

In one of the circles stands a man in black.

He's recently reclaimed the red mantel from the one who had been wearing it to impersonate him, but for this the Devil isn't needed.

Neither are the Muay Thai ropes that he's been wearing, so it's just the gloves.

After everything Matt could use a fight with someone who isn't trying to kill him, so he's here waiting to see if there are any takers on that count.

Rory's just going to stare at this guy dressed all in black.

"Okay, I'm going to have to ask... why the mask?"

He's all for a fight, but ... that is unexpected.

Matt gives a smirk and a short chuckle to that response and question.

"Unless you're new to Milliways I'm sure you've seen stranger," he replies, not actually about to answer that one.

It's either obvious or it's not.

After everything was set up, Sunshine had brought out a tray of fruit from the kitchens - apples, bananas, peaches, and quartered oranges - and set it on the picnic table near the water coolers. She knows how adrenaline can burn through one's blood sugar and leave you feeling weak and shaky - it's not fun - and having a quick source of energy nearby might keep some sparring folks from having to drop out before they want to.

Now she is loitering on the edges of the hand-to-hand fighting areas, watching the sparring with more than a casual interest. It is a bright spring day, the sunlight warm even as the breeze is cool. Her favorite kind of weather.

The man in black definitely gets an appraising glance.

Cassian's standing by one of the circles with his jacket folded beside hiding his weapons and wearing a pair of gloves as he looks around. Sparring is a normal part of his life but he doesn't know these fighters.

Sahaal walks over to Cassian, confusion written on his pale face. It’s been a while since he last talked to the Rebel, but he doesn’t recognise any of the others massing Outside.

Plus, it’s been a long time since he’s made it back to the Bar. Catching up’s in order.

“Afternoon, Cassian. What’s the meaning of all this?”

Jaskier is used to groups of people. He's not as accustomed to groups of people who look quite so deadly, and so there are various little yelps of 'oh god oh god oh god' and 'FUCK!' as he works his way through the crowds.

Where's the area for charmingly talented bardic geniuses who just want to be adored?!

Truth be told, that area is probably over there by the snacks and drinks table. The red-head setting out a tray of fruit doesn't look deadly at first glance. There are a lot of neutral colors (mostly black or dark grey) being worn in the fighting rings, but she is wearing a bright yellow t-shirt and vividly purple jeans.

Just ignore the scars on her arms and neck, maybe.

Sameth's had a good sword practice but really should go and spar with the guards. Now he's taking a break and sees Jaskier who's wearing an outfit that seems more like the Old Kingdom.

He's in a light linen shirt with rolled up sleeves that show his scars and his Charter Mark is covered by his hair as he grabs a water bottle, "Looking for someone?"
