"There you go, Mr. Palmer, and we'll see you again bright and early in the morning, ready for another day of work!" There's a hand, followed by an arm in a well-tailored suit, that shoves open the door.

There's a man - neither tall nor short, fat nor thin, but sporting a fair number of darkening bruises and walking slow and hunched - who stumbles through the door. He does not respond to the one who opened the door, who presumably is the same one who pulls it closed again. He does, however, stop, staring puzzled at the floor. The floor that is not pavement dusted with sand, warm from a day of desert sun.

A long moment later, he lifts his head to take in his surroundings.

And decides, with a tired huff, that sitting down now is good, since there's no one here he has to be brave for. So he does, abruptly, pulling his knees up to his battered chest and just... taking a minute. It's been a day, folks.
