May the Fourth Be With The All Skate

The bar shifts, or it changed when no one was looking, and now resembles a certain cantina popular with the villainy and scum, as well as more upstanding folks. The air is dryer than usual, and a taste of grit and sand just hangs in the air. It just makes you want some blue milk doesn't it?

Has your character changed? Perhaps...who can tell? The Landlord I suppose but they aren't talking.

[ooc: HI and Welcome to a Star Wars themed All Skate, the best way to celebrate May the Fourth! Party style post. You do not have to interact with any of my characters to play.
The Rules are simple:

"Oooh, you do not want that. I have seen the effects of alcohol on creatures similar yourself and it is always unpleasant. Perhaps you would be better off with some blue milk?" He is not aware of the Porg homeworld or the presence of green milk there.

[space_puffin]

Yeah. That would be bad.

As for green milk, Puffy wouldn't drink it. First he wouldn't know how to get it off those creatures and second Luke wouldn't share what he had. Rude.

But! He recognizes the word blue and chirrups.

Hodno orders a blue milk from one of the waiters, a species that he hasn't seen here before. Jabba probably imported and fired new help.

[space_puffin]

Well, that's a new food.

Since Hondo has given it to him, of course he will eat it. Or drink it in this case. It comes in a bowl since porgs don't have hands and he shoves his muzzle into it. There is bubbling noises.

And then that lapping noise that cats make when they're drinking.

Hondo has had a few pets along the way. It goes with being a pirate for some weird reason. But none were particularly close to being well behaved (which also goes with being a pirate). That the bowl hasn't been smashed to the floor is something of a change.

Puffy is a Civilized Porg, thank you very much. There will be no knocking things off tables. At least not things he's eating out of. Other things will be decided in the future.

As he drinks, he starts making a crooning purring noise.

[pirate_hondo]

"Ah, that is pleasant. I had a pet once who was very loyal but he had far too much of a tendency to keep me awake at night." And eventually was spaced by one of Hondo's men. Who in turn spaced as well.

[space_puffin]

That was RUDE. Hondo did the right thing.

If anyone tried to space Puffy he would make their life miserable.

Puffy would also not keep Hondo awake at night. He has his own nest in the Falcon.

He continues to purr and drink the milk. Before giving a large burp.

That gets a big laugh from Hondo. "Are you sure you are not one of my crew in disguise? They are not very refined." Not that Hondo would be welcome at a fancy dinner on Coruscant, but compared to his crew he's a count.

[space_puffin]

He is one of Hondo's crew members!

There's Hondo. And Puffy. And the Lady occasionally. And all the other porgs. That counts, right? Hondo has a brave crew of porgs!

He gives a delighted chirrup at the laugh.

"I almost have the sense that you understand me. Which, I must admit, is not something I encounter often." His own crew never seems to. It makes him miss Aurra Sing. She understood him.

[space_puffin]

He understands Hondo well enough. Not the actual words but intents. Can he get some scritches now?

There's a porg shoving his head towards Hondo's hand with definite 'scritch me please' intentions.

[pirate_hondo]

"My, you are very affectionate." Hondo doesn't necessarily like the notion of a pet being so assertive. But then, there are no cats in that distant galaxy. And it's impossible to know if Hondo would like cats.

[space_puffin]

Well, he likes Hondo. Even if he isn't actually acting properly.

So scritches?

[pirate_hondo]

"Scritches" is a word Hondo has never encountered. And would probably never use. Not piractical enough.

But yes, scritches.

[space_puffin]

Hondo gets a porg that purrs and then melts into a sleeping puddle.

[pirate_hondo]

Slowly, Hondo draws his hand away.

"There could be a market in pet Porgs," he says to himself. "Now where do they come from?"

[space_puffin]

Give yourself quite a few years, Hondo. You'll find out. Chewie will help you with this. At Black Spire Outpost.

In the meantime, Puffy is just asleep.
