May the Fourth Be With The All Skate

The bar shifts, or it changed when no one was looking, and now resembles a certain cantina popular with the villainy and scum, as well as more upstanding folks. The air is dryer than usual, and a taste of grit and sand just hangs in the air. It just makes you want some blue milk doesn't it?

Has your character changed? Perhaps...who can tell? The Landlord I suppose but they aren't talking.

[ooc: HI and Welcome to a Star Wars themed All Skate, the best way to celebrate May the Fourth! Party style post. You do not have to interact with any of my characters to play.
The Rules are simple:

He flinches as he turns, his hand hovering near his blaster as he sees her and realizes she's only trying to help, "No, I don't think so."

"Good."

She closes her eyes and breathes in.

One

She lets it out. She thinks of quiet and cool grey of rock.

Two

She opens her eyes, glancing over to the fight.

It's not her problem right now.

Three

She holds out a hand. "Come on," she says quietly. "I think they won't notice us now. Even if he does try to pull civilians in again."

Kylo Ren comes by it honestly, she thinks.

Cassian watches her breathe and focus before she offers her his hand, "What did you do?"

He asks quietly afraid to disturb what she did.

She pulls him a little out of the crouch. They don't need to stand up straight.

But she wants to move them away.

"Not much," she says wryly. "Just hoped really, really hard that they won't notice us."

That's what it feels like to her.

"That's going to work?"

He says as he lets her help him shift out of his crouch and follow her. She sounds like she believes it.

"I'll be honest."

She starts picking a path behind the upended tables towards the back door.

"That's what the hope is for."

"Hope can do a lot," Behind all his plans, there's always hope and he follows behind with quiet steps.

[imagines_the_ocean]

"That's the idea."

She's not sure it'll work. Vader seems to have other priorities.

Still, it can't hurt.

"Come on, let's get some air. We'll know when it's over--and then we get drinks."

"Yes, I could do with some air," And then he'll need a drink.

She leads the way outside. She stays low until she sees Security has it all well in hand.

She is glad about that.

(If Security can handle Vader, they can handle Ren.)

Once outside she stops and just leans against the wall tiredly.

"How much do you know about him?"

Cassian sits down on the porch, allowing himself a moment to rest, that was scarier than he wants too much about. But he has to, the Rebellion will someday have to defeat Vader,

"He works for the Empire as the Emperor's right hand or attack dog. Few people who've seen him in action live to talk about it. Before this, I'd only seen stolen security images."

And even those weren't always clear with what was happening other than destruction.

Now that she's standing, the lightsaber hanging on her side is more visible.

She is quiet.

"Anything about his past? Where he came from?"

She isn't sure what they knew in Imperial times.

"Only rumors and slicing doesn't dig up much. He doesn't want his past known so there are all kinds of stories, that's he's part droid or something else."

Cassian's looked but there's nothing to find.

[imagines_the_ocean]

She looks up at the stars.

She hadn't realized.

Some things make more sense now.

"I wish I knew what to say. Or do."

He shrugs as he looks at her, that's a complicated response, "Do you know about him?"

[imagines_the_ocean]

She runs her fingers along her lightsaber.

"I'm not sure there's anyone in the galaxy after the start of the Empire who doesn't."

Even long after.

[childofrebellion]

"No, everyone knows of Vader," Cassian watches her touch what must be a lightsaber, "Have you ever fought him?"

[imagines_the_ocean]

"God, no," she says. She recoils a little.

She does not want to think about that.

He nods, "I've never known anyone who has."
