The bar shifts, or it changed when no one was looking, and now resembles a certain cantina popular with the villainy and scum, as well as more upstanding folks. The air is dryer than usual, and a taste of grit and sand just hangs in the air. It just makes you want some blue milk doesn't it?

Has your character changed? Perhaps...who can tell? The Landlord I suppose but they aren't talking.

[ooc: HI and Welcome to a Star Wars themed All Skate, the best way to celebrate May the Fourth! Party style post. You do not have to interact with any of my characters to play.
The Rules are simple:

"I can deflect anything that gets tossed at us and hide our presence," he said. "He's distracted enough not to notice anything I do."

He knows Vader in these moods and has taken the time to figure out how much he can get away with without being noticed. It's useful.

"You've fought him before?" Cassian knows he's never seen this man in security vids.

"Yes. Enough times back home." He almost adds that he works with the man on some occasions, but stops himself.

That only brings up more questions for Cassian but they can be asked from a safer place,

"Then let's get out of here."

Closing his eyes, he holds out his hand in the direction of the fight. The world in that direction shimmers for just a moment in time for a stray salt shaker to bounce off the shield instead of Cassian's head.

None of the combatants seem to notice this.

"Come on then," he said standing up. "Keeping this up for two people is difficult." Which is true. Especially when one isn't a Force user. At least then he can get them to help with a bit of coaxing.

Expecting Cassian to follow, he keeps himself towards the edges of the fight, but heads towards safety.

Cassian follows behind, noting that salt shaker as he makes himself a smaller target and moving quickly.

Oh good. He didn't stop and stare at the salt shaker instead of moving. It's annoying when you try to rescue people and they get themselves killed anyway.

Once a good distance away from the fight, Shadin drops the shield and flops into a nearby chair that has not gotten tossed around. He shakes his right hand out, flexing the fingers out of a cramp. He is still watching the fight, mostly amused at the going on. It's nice watch someone beat up Vader.

Cassian's been in and around fights since he was a boy, getting to safety always comes first.

When they stop, he shifts so his back's to the wall and watches the continuing fight, "Thank you. When have you fought Vader?"

It's lazily waved off. "You're welcome."

He tilts his head thoughtfully wondering how much to say, how much it would matter. After a moment, considering he's not recognized by the man, he gives a mental shrug and says, "I work with him occasionally. We don't like each other. Naturally, it leads to fights."

"You work with him?"

The man doesn't look like he's Imperial but then the Empire will use whoever they can.

Not looking like an Imperial is his entire point. Though he probably should do something about those lightsabers. Eh. He's the carrot to Vader's stick, but people should still remember what he is.

"Yes. Not often. He's usually off traumatizing people and I'm usually making nice with people. But, we both report to the same person and he's a sadistic bastard."

He's allowed to say that about the Emperor. Because a. it's his father and b. his father is no where near here.

"I see,"

Cassian will need to get more intel since if this man is who he says he is, he's oddly open about it, but this is Milliways. People are more open here but if this man and Vader are here, Cassian will have to be careful.

He's only being open about that because for him it's not a secret. People back home know his public face. People know the Emperor is his father and that he deals with the diplomatic things. And honestly, if he can give Cassian anything to hurt Vader and thinks he can get away with it, he will give it.

"What about you?" he asked. "You certainly knew who he was. Your first time seeing him up close?"

"I've seen holovids of him and heard stories,"

Vader's someone everyone in the Empire knows about but much of what they know is rumor and fear.

"I'm a pilot and try to stay out of trouble."

"Any particular story stand out?" he asked, all ways curious as to what people who are extremely removed from the Empire's high court hear. It can be useful. Or incredibly entertaining. "If you don't mind telling me one?"

The pilot comment is taken and filed, but not particularly interesting. The galaxy is full of pilots trying to stay out of the way. The smart ones do.

"Usually the no survivors part, almost all the stories share that. I've never met anyone who come face to face with him so its all secondhand,"

And knowing anymore would be suspicious.

That one is boring. Everyone has heard that one. Even people who haven't heard of the Empire have heard of that one.

"Well, that one's not true. Not for lack of trying, mind you," he said with a laugh. After all, Shadin is still alive as is Cassian.

"But it's a good story to keep out there. Makes my job easier."

"Also that he can breathe anywhere; space or underwater, seeing his mask I can see how that might be possible. I know one story about how he survived the crash of a Star Destroyer,"

It adds complications to understanding how he could be defeated.

"Pretty much true on both of those," he said flicking his fingers.

"Well, I know he's got an annoying habit of surviving crashes. And having fighters dropped on him." That is not speaking from personal experience. At all.

"If he actually survives a crash of a Star Destroyer it's not something that's happened yet."

But that is a very good story to note!

Cassian nods, that's one of those stories that needs more research, then he stretches his shoulders,

"I think I'm going to head outside, its a close walk."

And out there he can feel safer in a different way.

"Probably a good idea." He will give Cassian a polite wave good bye, before returning his attention to the fight.
