May the Fourth Be With The All Skate

The bar shifts, or it changed when no one was looking, and now resembles a certain cantina popular with the villainy and scum, as well as more upstanding folks. The air is dryer than usual, and a taste of grit and sand just hangs in the air. It just makes you want some blue milk doesn't it?

Has your character changed? Perhaps...who can tell? The Landlord I suppose but they aren't talking.

[ooc: HI and Welcome to a Star Wars themed All Skate, the best way to celebrate May the Fourth! Party style post. You do not have to interact with any of my characters to play.

"Tatooine, is that where you're from?" The galaxy can be small at times.

[girlofclay]

She nods.

"Boring hellscape of a desert planet. Good for airspeeding and crime, and not a lot else. Got out of the place as soon as I could."

[childofrebellion]

"I can understand that. Glad you're bringing your piloting to where it can be used,"

Since the Rebellion always needs pilots.

[girlofclay]

She grins, and touches her forehead in nothing like a salute.

Ben Kenobi fighting Darth Vader still nags her, and it's going to do that for a while.

"What about you, where'd you grow up?"

"Cold planet called Fest but left not long after the Clone Wars ended,"

So its where he's from but hasn't been home for a long time.

[girlofclay]

She glances him again, appraising. He doesn't look that much older than her, so there may be time things at play here as well?

"How old were you?"

[childofrebellion]

"Only a boy, I think six or seven," At that point, it was safer to leave.

[girlofclay]

A nod.

"I was a baby when the clone wars ended," she says. "I don't remember any of it at all."

[childofrebellion]

"I remember some of it but I've heard people tell stories about it." He looks around, "I wonder if we could convince a rat to come out here. I could do with a drink."

[girlofclay]

"We didn't get so many stories - Tatooine stayed out of it mostly," she says. Which is why it's so weird seeing Ben acting like a Jedi.

"Hold up," she raises a finger and turns around, creeping o her hands and knees along the wall to the back door in order to peek in.

"Looks quiet..."

A lot less active destruction going on.

He turns to see what he can spot through the door, "Might be safe to go back in."

[girlofclay]

"Wanna risk it?"

She shoots him a grin that on someone younger might be mischevious. Harking back to a childhood getting into trouble with the kids of the farms.

"Or shall I get a rat over?"

[childofrebellion]

"Let's risk it," He doesn't like not knowing what's happening and returns her grin.

[girlofclay]

Bitts pushes the door open a little more and darts in quickly, ducking into the nearest booth.

Apart from the littered furniture it all looks quiet.

"I guess we missed the end."

[childofrebellion]

Cassian follows her in, relieved to see the fight's stopped, "Yes, we did."

[girlofclay]

She lifts a hand and waves a rat over as soon as she sees one.

"What do you want? I'll get it."

[childofrebellion]

He runs a hand through his hair, "Kriff, something strong, a good whiskey."

[girlofclay]

"Two glasses and a bottle," she tells the rat, because she sure is that brand of tiny little woman who likes to drink at the same rate as the guys.

She leans back in the booth, and finally starts to relax.

Cassian's not there yet but as he pours two generous drinks and takes a long pull, he feels a little better.
