milliways_bar | May the Fourth Be With The All Skate

The bar shifts, or it changed when no one was looking, and now resembles a certain cantina popular with the villainy and scum, as well as more upstanding folks. The air is dryer than usual, and a taste of grit and sand just hangs in the air. It just makes you want some blue milk doesn't it?

Has your character changed? Perhaps...who can tell? The Landlord I suppose but they aren't talking.

[ooc: HI and Welcome to a Star Wars themed All Skate, the best way to celebrate May the Fourth! Party style post. You do not have to interact with any of my characters to play.
The Rules are simple:
- This post, and any post with the subject heading ALL SKATE are open to everyone.
That means old characters, new characters, retired characters, doubles of characters, original characters, non-canon compliant characters.
- We will all play nice and adhere to Wheaton's Law: Don't be a dick.
- Gratuitous behavior, either of a violent or sexual nature, will not be tolerated in the Comm. Take that to an OOM, and then Content Warning the hell out of it before you link it.

"There's a wonderful garage downstairs and time can be strange here. People come from different points in time which can be confusing,"

That can add to making Milliways feel not completely safe.

Ooh. That sounds interesting.

Time thing. Yes. That is confusing.

He nods in agreement.

"BEepo Bop boop boop beep."

That's what the Jedi said.

"The Jedi? You've mentioned them before, they explained a lot to you? We don't have Jedi a lot in my time, not since the Clone Wars ended,"

He's met them here which is always strange.

"Beopobop bop beep beep bop."

They did. He tried telling them about the troopers

He gives a bit of an agitated dance and projects a hologram of a stormtrooper

"Bop beep beeop bop bup boop bhep beep."

But the Jedi said they were sure it would be fine.

Sadly, BD-1 doesn't know the difference between a clone trooper and a storm trooper as he hasn't run into a Clone Trooper and Storm Troopers fit the description that Cal gave him. If he had a recording of a clone trooper things might have been different.

"I fight stormtroopers. I think the Jedi didn't know as much as they thought they did,"

Cassian says as he isn't certain what else to say to the droids agitation.

He calms down at the agreement. Because sometimes Cal just doesn't know what he's doing and just gets into trouble exploring. Unlike BD-1... of course. The Jedi is ... weird. But...

"Beeop. Beeeep beop bop beeping."

He and Cal fight them too. They always get in the way.

"They do, they're everywhere and like to make themselves important."

Cassian spends most of his life avoiding and dealing with 'troopers.

"Beoop."

They do!

And they are self important up until they're the only ones left with Cal and a lightsaber. Then they are scared.

"Cal has a lightsaber?" That's unexpected, Cassian's never known so many Jedi until he came to Milliways.

"Beep bop beeop bop beep bop beep bop."

Yes. He used to be a padawan. That's why the Inquisitor is after him.

"Kriff but he's able to fight and survive? Is he good at hiding?"

That's how Cassian goes around the Empire.

BD-1 thinks.

"Boop beep bop boop bop hoop bot beep eep."

He hid for a while. Now he's looking for something important.

"I hope he can find it before he gets caught or killed. Do you know what it is? I look for information when I'm flying,"

His work in Intelligence is based off knowing when not to be seen and how to interpret what the Empire's doing.

Cal hid for a while but then he saved a friend...

BD-1 looks apologetic here and shakes his head.

"Boo beep."

He can't say.

"I understand, secrets are important. And saving people makes a difference, not everyone can do that,"

Cassian isn't able to do it as often as he'd like.

"Beeeoop!"

He agrees.

BD-1 would like to just keep Cal alive and finish finding the thing before worrying about the next thing.

(OOC: Sorry for the slow.)

"That's the best way to do it but not always possible." Cassian hasn't found it to be, the Empire keeps pushing.

(OOC: It's fine!)

"Boopbeep bop beep bep."

He knows. But they have to try. What else can they do?

"I know, we have to always try and fight and survive so the galaxy can be better. Do you need anything?"

BD-1 looks like he's in pretty good condition.

He looks down at his feet and then back up at Cassian. While he is in pretty good condition, thanks to Cal. There is one problem he's got:

"Boope beep bop boopp beep bep."

He needs to get back to Cal but isn't sure if he can open the door and get out at the same time.

"I can open the door for you. The door's here aren't made for droids in the ways they could be,"

He stands up and waits to see if BD-1 needs help down from the counter.

For a moment it looks like BD-1 is going to jump onto Cassian's back like he does with Cal, but then he decides against it, jumping lightly down to the ground.

"Beeop. Bop Beep. Beeep beep beep bop."

He agrees. What is with that whole swinging thing?

"I don't know, most of the doors here are like that,"

Cassian walks slowly towards the door, making sure that there's space for BD-1. Sometimes Kay will do this for him if they're in a crowded place.

BD-1 easily makes his way through the bar hopping onto tables and chairs as well as hopping on the floor.

"Beeop."

Odd.

"Yes, Milliways is definitely odd,"

He smiles as he sees how well BD-1 navigates and they soon reach the door.
