If you're sitting an a booth or a table in Milliways right now, this happens:
A lion cub just leapt on to the opposite seat, or another chair at your table, put his front paws on the table, and his head on his paws, and is now looking at whatever it is you've got on the table.
"Whatcha doing?"

A lion cub just spoke to her. She shouldn't be surprised, yet she is and it takes her a few moments to get her words back.
"Eating?"
no subject
Is it good? He wants to know. Can I have some? As a cub, even as Prince, he's used to being low on the eating order, but sharing is just how it's done, right?
no subject
Do lions know what cheese is? Or cake?
no subject
Simba looks up at her, and opens his mouth wiiiiide before apparently remembering what Sarabi would say, closes it to a normal non-cheescake eating size.
"Can I have some?"
no subject
Why not. She can add lion feeder to her already insane resume.
She forks off a medium sized piece and sort of drops it into his mouth.
"It's my favourite."
no subject
"That is good!" he declares.
It's not red meat, but it's good.
no subject
This is perhaps a small explanation, because she doesn't know if lions eat anything sweet.
"Not good to eat all the time, though."
no subject
Grin.
"Hi, I'm Simba."
no subject
She returns the smile? and offers her hand more out of habit than anything else.
“I’m Tess. It’s nice to meet you.”

This is an entirely new kind of hallicination.
She doesn't answer him immediately, though.

"Please don't," she says softly. "The ends are sharp."

"What's a necklace?"
no subject
"That's a necklace. It's a decoration."
no subject
Simba watches the necklace for a few seconds and then, (he's sorry he can't help it) he reaches a paw foward to bat at it.

When he finally does look over, he peers at the cub.
"Parents know where you are?"
no subject
This isn't entirely true. But what Mufasa and Sarabi don't know can't hurt Simba.
no subject
He puts his phone down, claws visible, and leans back in his chair.
"Bet you're trouble."
no subject
(Claws? Guess some humans have those after all.)
"I'm not!"
You are! Or something equally mature.
no subject
Creed doesn't need to worry about himself being trouble. He knows he is.
"Careful, or I'll toss some string at you"
no subject
"What's string?"
...uh oh.
no subject
"That's string. You play with it."
That 'you' may not have been generalized.
no subject
"Is it alive?"
It's not moving. What's the point?
