Sameth had been on his way to the forge when he looked over at the lake and it reminded him of the coast around Belisaere and he felt oddly homesick. So he went into the Bar to get fishing gear, including a picnic basket then set up on the dock, he couldn't find a boat. She even gave him a hat, the straw boater kind that he used to wear in Ancelstierre and he's set up with one of the chairs from the garden.
By the time the sun goes down, he has a few fish in his creel, and has made friends with the turtleducks. He doesn't go in until the sun's completely set and then he stops by the fire to warm up and take notes from the datapad that Fives gave him.
(OOC: Catch him going out, fishing or inside.)

Sometime before sundown, Zuko's come out to enjoy the water and fresh air away from literally anyone he could know at home. The little turtleduck flock has grown over the years, starting from six and now easily quintuple that after the years. He's brought an assortment of greens and seeds in a bag, hanging under one arm.
"Afternoon," he says to the other man. Hearing his voice, the turtleducks come out in force, making little 'qua, qua' noises as they come. They know Zuko brings the very best food.

He remembers it well; Azula and he had come back to the palace, his father thought he'd killed the Avatar, and life was back on track. He had his honor back. His father's esteem... and turtleducks that he and his mother used to feed.
Which Azula tormented even to that day.
So they were brought here, where it was safe, where Zuko knew they'd do just fine with ample food and shelter, taken care of by the Bar.

He hopes that Yrael has never hunted them.

"They probably have. They were at the Fire Palace before I brought them here, and are very used to people," Zuko explained as one leaf was eaten and he brought another forward.

Its not a name that means anything to Sameth but maybe here's someone who won't find it weird that he's a prince.

He's tired a lot of the time, these days. He'd have bags under both eyes if one wasn't surrounded by rippling scar tissue.

"I'm Sameth from the Old Kingdom. If you've ever met Yrael, he's from there too."

Time in Milliways is strange, after all. It's been much longer here than it was for him.

And there are people he hasn't seen but he's trying not to think too much about who's not here.

"Taking a break from making, are we?"

Because there is no way Mogget could ask about what Sameth has been working on in a way that sounds like he is actually curious about the answer.

"What is the gilded Abhorsen-in-Waiting up to these days, anyway?"
The Mogget certainly hasn't been paying that much attention. That would make it look like he cared.
Which he doesn't.
Clearly.

Which is pretty normal.

"Anything of note, or just the usual work of keeping the the living alive and keeping the Dead down?"
Tedious stuff, he knows. Though tedium has its place, highlighting more fraught times.

And he knows Lirael doesn't always send for help as quickly as other people do. Is there something he should be worried about?

Maybe there is something. Maybe Yrael is just being a pain.
Possibly both; they are certainly not mutually exclusive.
"I would suggest you enjoy your leisure time, Wallmaker."

He may be smiling a bit.
