Cassian's yawning as he sits by the fire with his caf and looks at his datapad again.

He knows there's a pattern in the intel he's gathered but he can't seem to put it together yet. There are missing pieces which he'll find but he needs to figure out what's not there.

A rat stops by to refill his caf and he realizes that he should eat something, so he stands up and heads towards the kitchen. Cooking can be helpful for getting his thoughts in order.

Sabine is sitting near in her own booth and mostly ignoring the crowd as she's digging into Mandalore's history and traditions; hunting the Mythasuar of a red herring. She does manage a break to rub her eyes just in time to see Cassian stand and head for the kitchens.

Which gets a growl from her own stomach.

What the kriff, she needs a break.

Following him in a minute or two later, she is careful to make noise before she says, "Cassian?" It should be obvious some time has passed for her. She's taller and has the worn look so many rebels develop. Her hair is still brightly colored (blue and teal) as is her armor (primarily magenta and orange).

He turns from where he is in the pantry and nods when he sees her, its been a while. She looks older, this fight is always hard, "Sabine, hello."

She smiles back. It's good to know he's still around out there.

"Seems like it's been a while, at least for me. You keeping okay? And can I convince you to feed a starving girl?"

"I am. How are you? What do you want? Sweet or savory?"

He loves all the options in this kitchen, a nice distraction from intel that doesn't make sense. She seems to be healthy too, which is a good sign.

She chews a lip in thought before deciding.

"Let's go with savory if that's alright? I can help with prep if you'd like?"

She looks around the room and over her shoulder to the main room before entering.

"I'm okay. Maybe not sleeping as well as I should but lots to keep us busy, you know?"

Cassian nods as he understands not sleeping and starts pulling out ingredients,

"There's always more work to do. I'll do some quick tacos."

"There is. And always outside pressure to get in the way."

"We're having trouble in business with finding good routes without the competition getting in the way."

"Safe routes are always tricky, lots of variables to deal with. Maybe I can help," He sets out some proteins and veg then puts an onion in front of her, "Chop that up small for me."

Then he gets to putting some spice on the proteins and figuring out what sauces he needs to make.

She nods and selects a knife she likes before setting to work.

"We're thinking of trying to arrange something with Concord Dawn. Not sure if it will succeed, but it's worth a shot."

"Have you worked with them before?"

With her heritage, they might have but he knows that Mandolorians are complicated to get on your side. Good to have in a fight but not easy to ally with.

She shakes her head.

"No, but they've got control of a good hyperway, one we're certain the Imps aren't patroling."

"That could be useful. Do you know what they might want in exchange for giving you access?"

Everyone always wants something.
