[ooc: phoning a friend]
Team Flash and Team Arrow are joining up again and Barry is stoked about it.
He comes into the bar wearing the Flash suit with the mask off, pushed back to rest between his shoulders like a hood.
Heading straight for the counter, Barry hops up onto a stool and says, "Working a big case Bar, I'm gonna need some fuel."
Bar responds by producing what would otherwise be a catering-sized order of sushi and four protein shakes.
Removing his gloves, Barry uses chopsticks to pick up the first sushi roll and devours it in a single bite, throwing a smile at the counter.
"Thanks."

"Hey dude. I'm in Starling right now. Oliver and I are tracking down his boomerang guy. Him and his team are getting ready, but since that takes me like a second I had some time to kill."
And of course he was hungry.
no subject
He remembers how excited Barry was about a team-up with Oliver the first time.
"Try not to get hit by one of those boomerangs, though, they're pretty sharp."
no subject
"Oh dude," Barry says, shaking his head and really struggling to contain his excitement and some smugness, "you should've seen. So I'm working right, and Felicity calls me and says there's a situation going down. I run over and Oliver and his partner are throwing down with the boomerang guy, but Oliver, he's about to get nailed by a couple of those things."
Barry continues to eat as he talks, gesturing with his hands and chopsticks to illustrate the scene.
"I go in and just, 'boom', snatch them right out of the air."
no subject
"I hope they appreciated the dramatic entrance. Those don't come along every day," he says. "Sounds like you've really pulled their asses out of the fire already, though."
no subject
"Now we're following a lead I got from SCPD. Harkness is the guy we're after, and the man who might be supplying him with his crazy boomerangs might be working with the Russian Bratva which, get this, Oliver used to be a member of."

Enough sushi that even Zenigata, legendary black hole for calories, looks askance for a moment.
"Growing boy, eh?" he says, chuckling. Boy might not even be human. Or a boy. Who knows? Milliways is like that.
no subject
"Superhero," he says, laying his empty hand over the lightning bolt emblem on his chest, "my metabolism is kind of nuts."
no subject
Okay, he hasn't met one of those yet. Zenigata doesn't know what to say to that, though, so he has to re-orient himself.
"Why do you -- need lots of food?" he asks, not quite realizing that he's getting rude very fast. He'll figure it out eventually, but right now Detective Brain has kicked in.
no subject
It's probably the most simple explanation he can give for it.
Barry at least doesn't mind the questions, he's a scientist at heart and he also knows that it is pretty strange for anyone not used to metahumans and masked heroes.
"I have superspeed," he explains. "I can move fast, like really, really fast, and doing so I burn through a ton of calories so I have to replace them or I uh... pass out." Which is not only dangerous, but incredibly embarrassing.
no subject
Then, he remembers his manners. "Ah, so sorry! I'm Inspector Zenigata Koichi, of Interpol."
no subject
"Inspector?" Barry's smile widens further and he introduces himself. "Barry Allen, Forensics Assistant with the Central City Police Department."
A beat, and Barry amends, "Well, when I'm not... "
He gestures at himself and the suit he's wearing.
"When I'm doing the hero thing I'm the Flash."

When he finds the Bar in the building, he allows his shoulders to relax slightly as he heads to the counter and then sees Barry, "Don't usually see you in here during a mission. How's it going?"
no subject
"Hey man, it's great. Just getting ready to head out, actually. I'm teaming up with the Arrow again and I'm waiting on his team to get ready so we can check out a lead on a boomerang guy."
Looking down at the sushi platter Barry gives a laugh.
"Thought I'd pop in here and grab a bite before we go."
no subject
Why would someone choose a boomerang?
"Cisco mentioned that he was working on improving the Arrow's gear."
no subject
His smile picks back up a moment later and Barry goes on.
"Yeah, Cisco and Caitlin were visiting Starling City. They were hanging out with the Arrow when the boomerang guy attacked A.R.G.U.S., that's a government agency our friend works for. Caitlin called me and I ran over to help with the situation. I saved Oliver but the guy got away so now we're working the case to try and find him."

Having another piece of sushi Barry goes on.
"Right now we're using Oliver's connection to the Russian Bratva, that's the Russian Mafia, to look for a guy who works for them and might be the one supplying the boomerangs to our guy."

Sticking out of the top of it is a stuffed green boxing glove, on a stick.
The woman who brought it in takes one look at the spread and pulls a face.
"Sushi and shakes? Speedster food makes me bloated just looking at it."
no subject
When he hears her comment he laughs, a touch embarrassed, and says, "It's not so bad. You do what you gotta when you have a metabolism to feed."
At least he doesn't have to explain how or why he's packing so much away considering she seems to know about speedsters already.
no subject
She's smiling at him like she knows him, and it's a very very complicated smile.
"Hi," she says. "I'm Dinah."
no subject
He notices that smile and tries to read it, and although he's not quite sure what it's about he returns with a smile that is genuinely warm.
"Barry," he says. "I'm guessing maybe you and I share the same multiverse?"
She did peg him as a speedster without seeing his powers so he figures it's probably the suit reminding her of her own Earth's version of the Flash.
no subject
Guessing that Cisco hasn't filled him in, she adds, "I met Cisco the other day. I'm the Canary."
no subject
She definitely already knows, but it feels like the polite thing to do and besides he's pretty proud of the fact, so Barry goes ahead and touches the emblem on his chest as he adds to his own introduction, "I'm the Flash."
