The sun is setting, and the stars are just beginning to come out. Urania is on the roof with her telescope.
Sirius, the dog star, is beginning to fade, marking the approach of summer's end. Even with the warm night, Urania can see signs of the changing seasons - crabapples beginning to ripen, goldenrod in bloom.
Summer, as is its nature, is ending all too soon.
