*And she heads over to the bar, glancing behind to see if the tiny girl's following.*

Ember tries to see the top of the bar. But she's toooooo little.

"Puckernuts!"

*Meg giggles and yanks a chair over with her foot.*

Ember climbs up so that she's standing on the chair. She looks at Meg expectantly.*

What do you want? *Meg asks reasonably.* A bush might be a bit big, for a first demonstration.

Ember tilts her head. "What do you mean?"

Tell me what to ask for, *Meg explains,* and I'll ask the bar for it.

- you know what? I will ask for a bush.

*Meg puts a hand on the bar.* One bush, please -

*A man appears.

He has very large ears, and looks very confused. Nor does he look terribly bright.*

No, no, no, that's not what I wanted! *Meg says impatiently, and the confused-looking man disappears again.*

Ember blinks and staaaaaaares.

"Timmorn's blood! The human appeared out of nowhere!"

Yes, that's what the bar does, *Meg explains,* though I've never seen it do it with a person before. Usually just drinks.

Ember looks at the bar, then grins ~~impishly~~ elfishly. "Like dreamberry juice?"

*Meg hesitates.* Er - probably? No idea what that is, but ask away and see if you get it -

Ember turns and looks at the bar.

"Dreamberry juice?"

There's a pause, as if the bar is thinking, and then a glass appears, full of the drink.

"By the High Ones!"

*Meg giggles.* Useful, isn't it? Coffee for me, bar, s'il vous plait.

*Coffee appears, and Meg sips it placidly.*

Ember takes big gulps of the dreamberry juice quickly. She hiccups and giggles. "Yum..."

*Meg, who sees nothing wrong with children getting drunk, grins.* How long have you been here, that you didn't know that?

Ember finishes of her drink, and tries to sit down in the stool. It doesn't work.

She ends up on the floor on her back, giggling again.

"I don't know. I'm usually just walling... walking... watching people."

She giggles some more.

Well, try watching the bar, *Meg tells her,* it's more interesting. Where do you stay?

"With Yayiyo... Yamimo... Yamino!"

She smiles and giggles.

Oh, I know him! He's a good baker, *Meg says sagely, which is, in fact, most of what she knows about Yamino.*

Ember nods, then stops, cause it makes everything swim. She giggles again.

"He is! I like his fooooood."

How'd you end up living with Yamino, then?

"He foundses me. And I didn't have anywhere to sleeeeeeeep. So he tookses me home."

And yes, she's talking like Golum. It's the drink. Honestly.

Oh, you're Bound, then, *Meg says cheerfully.* Good thing no time passes, else your other parents back home might be worried. He ought to've told you about the bar, though.

Ember blinks, then tears start to well up in her eyes.

"Father... Mother... Suntop..."

She starts sobbing like she's never sobbed before.

"I missssssss theeeeeem!"

*Meg stares, agape, and then leans forward to pull the tiny elfgirl into a hug, rather bemusedly.*
