Echo bounces over to the cute kitty.

"Guess what?"

She's smiling brightly.

*Yrael raises an eyebrow at Echo, taking in her overly cheerful attitude.*

Um... I do not know. What?

She holds out her hand with the green ring on it.

"I'm getting married!"

*Yrael ~~glomps her~~ grins broadly.* Wonderful! My friend, I am truly happy for you!

Echo giggles. "I'm so happy! And you have to come to the wedding. You have to. Oh! And you can play too! Please say yes. Pleeeease!"

She gives him puppy-dog eyes and a pout.

*He smirks and clears his throat.*

Yes. Pleeeease!

*he doesn't really get the puppy-dog eyes/pouty tones, but it is a close call.*

Will that do?

She giggles.

"Yrael! So, will you?"

*He inclines his head, grinning.*

I will, of course, should you wish it.

She claps her hands together and twirls. "Yay!"

Then, totally on impulse, she picks up the kitty and twirls him with her, giggling.

*Yrael is suddenly so with the clinging. But no claws. He does not fear that much.*

Eeee.....

*he realizes that the noise is coming from him and quickly shuts his mouth.*

*So dizzy.*

Echo giggles and places him back on the bar.

"Sorry... are you okay?"

*Yrael not'staggers.*

I am fine, of course. Merely elated at the wonderful news, my friend.

Every happiness to you and your intended.

Echo smiles brightly.

"Thank you!"

She leans over and gives him a kiss on the head, then sees ...someone else who needs know. Giving Yrael a quick scritch behind the ears, she runs off.

*He barely has time to purr before the scritch ends.*

*Curses, foiled again.*

Kitty ina bar.

He's not on it, because that would be silly. He might get it dirty with his boots. He is, however, beside it. Sipping at a glass of cream.

He looks at the kitty onna bar. He seems vaguely familiar.

*Yrael nods to the cat in boots beside the bar.*

Good evening.

hmm... talking cat....

Puss thinks back.

"Shiny Bright Yrael! I almost didn't recognise you, mi amigo."

It has been a while since we have spoken, hasn't it? I guess I could forgive you, then.

How have you been?

"I have been good. I have been busy at home with the slaying and the mercenary work and all of that. It is good to get away for awhile."

Puss sips at his cream, and smiles at Yrael.

"Are you not in the mood for music tonight, my friend? I have found it to be terribly difficult to play music as sweetly as you did without thumbs."

*He grins.* That is why I do not play music in this shape, my friend. Opposable thumbs are handy things to have. Plus, I doubt anyone would want to hear sweeping lyrics from these vocal chords.

Puss frowns. Cats have very good singing abilities, thank you very much.

He prides himself on his musical talent, after all. Probably because he's tone deaf.

He grins at Yrael, however, as his mind shifts to other subjects. Ah... to be so mercurial.

"It is good you have the choice, then. So, tell me Shiny Bright Yrael, what have you been up to? How does one such as yourself provide amusement here at Milliways?"

There's only a small hint of admiration in Puss' voice. Really. Just a hint.

*He shrugs.* I meet people, get them to give me free food or drink, spend time with my friends, write and perform my music, read, sleep... whatever I wish, really. If I feel like doing something, I do it. I have visited other worlds when people from those worlds have invited me.

I enjoy my time as I see fit.

Truly the personification of all things catlike.

Puss' admiration grows just that much more.

"A worthy way to spend one's time."

*Another smirking shrug.* It makes me happy. Therefore it is a worthy way, indeed.

Do you know if time stops in your world, for you, when you come to Milliways?

"You know... I've never really stopped to think about it. I don't know why it would matter. After all, if I am here than anything important which should happen to me will just wait until I show back up. Right?"

Universe hopping still confuses Puss. Poor confused kitty.

If you say so.

The good thing about it not mattering whether time stops for your world or not is that you get to choose how long you stay away from it. If you need an extended holiday, you may take it without worry.

"I can see why that would be to one's advantage."

Puss isn't too terribly worried about it. After all, it's not like he's in the middle of a job.

"Does time stop for your world, Yrael?"

I do not return to the world in which I existed before Milliways, if I can help it. Unless I have reason to, I stay away. It is a personal choice. From what I know of the few times I have returned, no, Time does not pause for my siblings' world while I am gone.

"Ah. I won't ask you why it is you do not wish to return home. If you choose to tell me, I'm sure you will."

Puss pauses as he contemplates the movement of time. It's a very short contemplation.

"It could be either fun or confusing either way, I think. If time stops, then you don't have to worry about missing anything... but when you return you will have changed, and no one else will. However, if time doesn't stop then you risk missing important moments in your history. Either way, I don't think I'd want to risk it for too terribly long."

It it your choice, of course.

*he stands.* Excuse me, my friend. It grows late, and I am tired.

Puss bows deeply to the notcat, sweeping off his hat with a flourish.

"A good night to you, Shiny Bright Yrael. You have given me much to think about."

*He inclines his head, then slinks off down the bar.*
