There's an Ace in the bar. Long time, no see.
She's curled up next to the fireplace, the soccer-ball blanket wrapped around her. Oh, and a mug of cocoa sitting beside her. She's missed the cocoa. She still looks a bit too pale, a bit off, but she's back.

"Errr..." She's abruptly aware she's talking to a Time Lord. About another Time Lord. Who was betrayed (yet again) by (yet another) Time Lord.
It's all a bit much for a tweenage pyro.

Romana sits down. "What happened?" Since really she doesn't know what happened to her...well, favorite Time Lord or the other Time Lord or anything else that's happened lately.

"The... erm. The TARDIS. It... blew up. Or fell apart. Or something. Threw me back in here." She's not terribly clear how precisely the TARDIS stopped working, but it had done so spectacularly.

Romana blinks. "Blew up?" Shakes her head.

Why couldn't the Doctor have abandoned the Type 40? And if the TARDIS is blown to smithereens, is the Doctor... No, she's not going to think about it.

"Well, I'm glad you weren't too badly hurt."

"I'm under the impression I was rather worse when I came in. Thank God for magic-using healers and all that." It had been rather difficult getting a straight answer last night, mostly because she kept falling asleep.
"Death says the Doctor made it. She didn't say anything about regeneration." She offers, since this is also a fellow companion she's talking to.

She nods. "Yes. Very fortunate. You've been resting, yes?"

Romana smiles, certainly relieved. "Oh good."

She shakes her head though. Another regeneration? "I wonder if all male Gallifreyans use up their regenerations so quickly." She'll have to do a poll when she goes back.

"Yeah. Got a boyfriend who'll sit on me if I try anything. Overprotective git." Fondly, with the warmest smile she's been able to muster yet. But then she shoots a worried look at Romana.
"I hope he hasn't regenerated. I didn't... I mean... S'not the same."

Aw. How cute. Romana wisely doesn't say so. "Very good. Because rest is certainly what you need."

Romana smiles sadly and nods. "I know what you mean."

"He'd just better not keep it up too long." She mutters, ducking her head to hide the blush. Damn complexion.

Ace frowns, and looks at Romana quizzically. "I hope you don't mind m'asking, but... which regeneration are you on again?"

Romana looks very proud of herself. "My second."

Ace thinks back to the records she dug up of the Doctor during his second regeneration, and does her very best not to laugh.
"Good for you, then." She does smile though.

"Thank you. I'm still relatively young compared to the Doctor but I am glad I have a good number of regenerations to look forward to."
