There's an Ace in the bar. Long time, no see.
She's curled up next to the fireplace, the soccer-ball blanket wrapped around her. Oh, and a mug of cocoa sitting beside her. She's missed the cocoa. She still looks a bit too pale, a bit off, but she's back.

"Oh!" She brightens, and offers her hand. "Nice to meet you then."

"So I hear you two are...together."

And the smile brightens, falsely. But she's good at the false smile.

"How's that going?"

Ace blinks. My but word gets around, doesn't it?
"Good. We're good. He needs to stop worrying himself whenever something happens to me..." She neglects to mention that perhaps in this case concern was warranted, considering how she ended up in the bar... "But he's a sweetheart."

"I bet he's really glad you're back. He was worried. How long have you two been together now?"

Eyebrows raised, head tilted, gentle smile. Yes she looks like she cares.

And she does. But not for the reason she should.

Ace does some mental arithmatic. Eventually she's going to have to post a sign on the board warning patrons not to ask Ace how long anything has been going on, because it hurts when one time-travels.
"Mmmm... for Tim... I think it's been sommat like a month or so? For me, it's been two. Screwy time-lines." She shrugs.

A month...or like a month...which could mean less than a month. God he was crazy.

"So are you like..in love with him or are you two taking it slow?" Her face is kept purely innocent.

Ace gives her a slighly odd look. This is certainly a... facinating line of conversation...
"Both, I suppose, they're not totally exclusive, you know. He's the best thing that's happened to me here, but I don't see much sense in rushing into anything... s'not like we dont' have time."

See! Isabel was right! He does NOT need to be buying a ring. And maybe, just maybe...relief is washing over her face right now.

She nods. "That's a good view to have."

Are you two having sex? No. Not asking that either.

Good, because I very much doubt Isabel wants to wear Ace's cocoa.
"I think so. I don't think he's quite got the hang of it, but he'll figure it out." She flashes Isabel a wicked grin, the other girl's slight combativeness going completely over Ace's head.

"Tim? Not getting the hang of things? Never." She laughs. "So what, is he in rush mode?"

Ace, woe unto her, knows nothing about rings, or plans, or anything else of the sort. Tim is sneaky, woe. She snorts.
"No. Hardly. He seems to confuse 'slow' with 'dead'. We're working on it." And really, that's as much detail as Ace is willing to go into.

Yeah but now the girl he apparently loves is getting married. Worry not Ace, he's ready to rush full speed ahead.

But that means no sex.

And now Isabel has a real smile. "He'll get the clue eventually I'm sure. Maybe with all the weddings going on he'll get inspired."

Ace's eyebrows climb into her hairline for moral support. She's just about ready to count this in the 'ten weirdest conversations I've had in Milliways'.
"Not too inspired, I hope. It's only been a bloody month for him. I might have to knock some sense into him if he gets too carried away." She's rather good at that. Or so she thinks. Poor Ace.

And she'll just tell Tim that. And then it won't be because she doesn't want him to be with Ace and doesn't want him to love anyone else but her...it'll be for his own good. To keep him from being embarrassed.

"Well hopefully he'll at least bring you to my wedding."

Except she doesn't much want Tim to have a date to her wedding.

"Your wedding? Oh..." She blinks. My, but she has been out of the loop, hasn't she? "Congrats! Who's the lucky fellow?" She has nothing but good wishes for Isabel. After all, she is a friend of Tim's, and any friend of Tim is a friend of Ace.

"His name is Warren. And he's possibly the most perfect guy in the world." She smiles now, thinking of him...of the man she loves.
