*Meg skips merrily into the bar.

Yes, she really does. A certain something has put her in a remarkably good mood. Could it be the grungy-looking thoroughly disgruntled man in the tutu over there? Nah.*

And there is a Violet, in a tutu. "Can I join in?" She asks, worried about being told no.

"Hi..." She offers to the girl she doesn't know.

*Meg grins.* 'course, Vi! Vi, this is Sara; Sara, Violet. Sara's picking up ballet after a while too, Vi.

"Sure! Hi," Sara says with a smile.

"Hi. Just...pretend I'm not here. I'll just listen and be quiet...don't worry."

Sara smiles reassuringly. "You don't have to worry about that, Vi. I'm working from the beginning myself."

Moving back to the center of the floor, Sara begins doing a routine she'd learned 15 years earlier, one called "Birds in Flight." Her movements are slightly off-beat, some of her turns are shaky.

Okay - freeze.

*Meg goes over and positions her arms firmly.* Okay - hold them. Like that. Vi, you want to try this position too?

Sara adjusts her position accordingly, turning her head to give Vi an encouraging smile.

"Sure..." Violet moves over carefully, looking at what Sara was doing and then taking the position Meg is showing her. She bites her lip nervously.

*Meg straights her as well, then steps back and nods at them.* Okay - hold your ankles just like that - now try a plier.

Sara curses in her mind. The movements are much more difficult than she remembers. Never let it be said she'll back down from a challenge though.

Violet focuses and bends her knees to move down into the plie, arm moving as Meg had shown her previously. Wait...back straight. There we go.

Good save, Vi, *Meg says approvingly.* Stiffer ankles, Sara, but nice posture. All right. Can you go from there into fifth?

Sara grins. "I can try at least." So saying, she begins her movement into the fifth.

Vi lets Sara go first and then moves. Yes, her transitions are sloppy but the before and after are good!

*Meg wraps a curl of hair around her finger and frowns consideringly.*

Okay - we're going a bit too fast. Try it slower, so you can get it down.

Sara continues practicing her transitions, sweat beading at the top of her forehead. She'll be feeling this lesson in the morning, she can already tell.

Slow is almost worse. It leads to more clumsiness. "Meg...I suck."

Sara pauses. "Vi, don't say that. You dance beautifully."

*Meg scowls at her ferociously.* You stop that right now, all right? You're doing really well, especially since you're so out of practice. Getting back into practice takes work. You don't just snap your fingers and get good. So I don't want to hear 'I suck' ever again, all right?

Grumblegrumble. She tries it again, doing a little better this time. She doesn't say anything. She grumbles. And were her hair not pulled back it would be in her face.

Sara finally ends her exercises, breathing hard.

*Meg gives them both approving nods.*

Not bad. Definitely improving. Now for something a little more relaxing - let me see your second position, all right?

That she can do. And with a confident smile she adjusts her feet and arms.

Sara shakes her head. "I'll have to pass--I need to go wrap my ankles. I pulled something and I'd rather not make it a full sprain." She's not making excuses. She limps over to one of the benches.

OOC: I have to leave in a few minutes.
