Charlie ambles downstairs. He's wearing Bartleby's sweatshirt again. Yes, it's big enough to fit a small island nation inside. It's also warm.

He sits at the bar and looks around.

He asks the Bar for a fork and eats a bite before answering. "Mm. Tasty.

"We had a scare over the weekend but it's all over now.

"How're you?"

Deflect, Charlie, deflect!

"I'm good." She nods and sips her drink. "What kind of scare? Everyone's alright, right?"

"Yeah. Um. Everybody's okay. Bloke came in from the island who'd tried to take Claire before--tried to take Seth from his babysitter this time. But he's gone."

"Oh, well, good." She frowns. "Bastard."

She takes a bite of her pie. "Poor Claire. How're they doing? I haven't seen them since the shower."

"Pretty good. She seems to be handling bartending okay and the baby's been--good. Most of the time. Pretty good." He pushes the pie plate back before he can eat it all.

She nudges it back an inch. The Bar has plenty of pie and she's not above ordering seconds. "He's about a month old now, huh? I bet he's getting big."

"Yeah, just barely a month. He's a little bigger. More alert, which is cool. Still quite wobbly, though."

She nods and laughs. "He'll be wobbly for several more months. Enjoy it."

She smiles carefully. "So is everything else ok?"

Hear: Is he back yet?

Charlie shrugs, stabbing a bit of pie crust with his fork. "Same as it ever was."

She sighs and pats his hand twice. "Things will change for the better, soon. I can feel it."

"Yeah. Well. All I've got is hope, yeah?"

She nods once and smiles kindly. "Hey, what are y'all doing this weekend? Sunday in particular."

"I . . . don't have any plans, I don't think. What's up?"

"Indy and Mike are having a little shindig in their new suite and they said I could invite my friends. So, obviously that means you and Claire and the baby, if you'd like to come."

"Cool. I'd love a shindig. Almost as good as a hootenanny."

"There will be no hootenannying on Sundays. It's God's Law." She grins. "But there will be catered food and alcohol for those choosing to partake."

"Cool. I'll tell Claire--unless you'd like to invite her yourself."

She nods. "I might try to get up there in a litle while. But if I don't feel free to invite her. Richard and Armand too, if they're back yet. Oh, and Liam of course."

"They're back, I'll let them know. And Liam. He's here for the next couple days anyway."

"Sounds good." She smiles. "Hey I'm gonna go look for Indy, Hon. Are you going to play anything tonight?"

He points to the karaoke machine. "I thought I'd let everyone entertain themselves tonight."

Shr grimaces at the machine and smiles at Charlie woefully. "Oh, geez, I might have to go hide out in Indy's room afterall."

She leans over and kisses his cheek. "Ok, Hon. I'll try to come by and visit you and Claire later, but if I don't I'll see you on Sunday okay?"

"You'll see me." He smiles at the kiss. "Have a good night."

"You too, Love." She grins and picks up her martini, leaving him her pie as she wanders off.
