Therefore, Xander assumes that it must be evil.*

Wow ... didn't know they had an open mike night ...

*He approaches the karaoke machine slowly. It lights up and looks inviting-- as inviting as a possibly-evil-because-of-its-pinkness karaoke machine can be.*

Moiraine's my aunt-by-marriage, *Meg explains.* She's all . . warrior-of-the-light-y. I'm very fond of her but she would not be happy to hear about Lucifer.

Not that, you know, any of you are - so! Karaoke!

What? No reason! No reason at all that is in any way humiliating. The machine's just evil. How was your day?

I think, *Meg says cheerfully,* you two should sing a duet.

You know. Friends finding each other again and all.

*Andrew grins.*

That'd be cool.

*Xander is about to reply "Hell, no!" but he feels the Karaoke Demon take control again. He grins and nods instead.*

*Meg beams and leans back to watch the show.*

Break a leg, guys!

*The music has already started: a bouncy rock beat vaguely reminiscent of Barenaked Ladies.*

*Andrew has never heard this song before in his life. Neither has Xander. This is not going to stop them.*

*Striking a pose, Andrew sings.*

I want to go where no man's ever gone before
And I want to wield my evil father's laser sword

Gets bigger when there's no gra-vi-ty

*Xander and Andrew do-si-do before the bridge starts.*

In the sandbox and on the jungle gym
Barbie dolls and Tonka trucks were made for her and him

I want to have a Stetson hat and a long trench coat

I ... want to be a private eye!

And I want to have a peg leg, a hook for an arm, and two eyepatches
I'll run you through then make you walk the plank or
I'll tie you to a two-ton anchor
I'll be a pirate I'll show no fear
I ... want to be a buccaneer!

*Xander and Andrew do a complicated jazz routine, wherein they swing each other in circles, clap hands, and even leapfrog.*

*If Meg ever had a chair - and I say she did - she has fallen off it.

Silly Meg. Don't you know rolling on the floor laughing gets your tutu all dirty?*

[stilljustandrew]

*Andrew comes spinning out of the last jazz movement and strikes a heroic pose.*

I wanna be a photo-journalist college kid
And I wanna get bitten by a radioactive arachnid
One lesson that'll be learned by me
Is that with great power comes great responsibility
And I'll have an uncanny spider-sense and web-shooters on my hands --

*He does the webshooter gesture. With both hands.*

I ... wanna be Spider-Man!

*As the music fades, the boys pose-- Andrew as Spider-Man, Xander in a piratelike position. Of course, there are spirit fingers.*

I do! *Meg says cheerfully, and brandishes her EZ-bar-provided-camera proudly, from the floor.*

*Andrew looks around at the crowd.*

If we were going for super secret I kind of think it didn't work.
