"You've seen it that often?" James looks terribly, terribly jealous. "It came to theaters in our town once before, but I had 'flu then and couldn't go - I only got to see it twice this weekend."

"No, it's not. It's hardly even been out yet."

I meant in my time-- 2003. It's been out for a while. Sadly, this means that not everyone has watched it.

James sighs. "This whole different times things keeps throwing me. I'm from 1977, I probably should say."

*Xander nods.* Yeah, I figured it was sometime around then. This place brings waaaay too many different dimensions together.

"You needn't tell me," James agrees. "But my little brother will keep coming here, and my barn door keeps opening on the place regardless. It's rather unnerving, to think you're going to feed chickens and end up talking to a king or something like that."

Yes, unnerving is definitely the word. At least you can leave, though.

"Oh, you're stuck?" James grins ruefully. "I've heard about that sort of thing - this chap Garion, he was the king fellow, he couldn't see the door." He punches Xander on the shoulder, in a friendly fashion. "Well, there are worse places to be stuck and all."

So I've heard. *He grins.* Hey, I can't die, right? Bring on the weirdness.

James looks interested. "Can't you?"

Not here. Neither can you. And I have it on Death's authority ... creepy as that sounds ... so it's definitely true.

"That . . . really does sound creepy," James agrees, rather unnerved. "You mean Death like with the bones and the cape and all? Bring out your dead! Like that?"

No, actually, this is kind of cool: Death is actually a nice lady whose only visible hint of deathliness is her need to visit a tanning booth.

*Xander shrugs.* I don't question anymore.

*Xander nods.* Yeah.

*He gets up.* You know, the karaoke was great and everything, but if I spend any more time around this big pink machine I may sprout pigtails. I'm gonna go. See you around?
