(no subject)

David is, inexplicably, sitting at the bar, playing with a cocktail umbrella.

He looks quite a bit better than he has these past few days.

"Ostara," Gil says thoughtfully. "Oh Easter! We did different names in Comparative Religion at school. Yes, her. She might like the primroses but I don't think Loki has ever eaten my cooking."

The thought of the Trickster God still makes Gil's blood run cold - because that is one name he remembers from classes. That 'his' Loki, the evil murderer of kind Balder who started Ragnarok just to see if it could be done, is from a different continuum from the Loki beloved of David, who hurt Sooty so bitterly, isn't immediately apparent. A god is a god is a god.

It is only because this is David that Gil adds, "But he'll be able to at my room warming. I'm going to make something nice."

He hugs David one last time. "Us working boys had better get along." He nibbles his neck again - just because it's there. "Have a nice evening."
