Claire steps behind the bar, Seth sleeping in a baby sling around her neck. She wipes down the bar's surface and straightens the extra glasses, smiling at Charlie playing guitar in the corner.



"What can I get you?"

"Oh, since just after Christmas. She's a real sweetheart."

He looks round the bar absently.

"She threw your shower right?"

"She did. I had only just met her too." She smiles. "Everyone seems to be that nice here. I've got so many things for me and the baby from people I don't even know."

"Babies and weddings seem to inspire random generosity. But in this case, it's probably because you're very cute," he says with a wise nod.

She blushes and looks away before smiling at him. "I'm just short."

"No, I don't think that's it."

He snorts at himself. "Don't listen to me... I'm a marked man."

After another furtive glance around the bar he finishes what must be his fifth cup of coffee of the afternoon and decides its time to get some more folk turned on to the party.

"You're a busy lady, so I'd best be off... but thanks for the coffee. Nice to finally meet you... and your lovely baby."

"Talk to you again soon I hope."

He gives her a grin and then nods farewell to the bundled child in a business-like fashion, "Seth."

"It was nice to meet you too." She grins and wipes the counter underneath his coffee cup before moving it to the sink.
