*Yrael wanders into the bar from the back corridor, dressed all in white. He carries with him his violin, and on a whim brought his recorder with him, as well. He makes his way to the comfortable chair on the left side of the fire and sits down, setting his recorder down on the table beside the chair. Placing the violin to his shoulder, he pauses a moment to decide what to play. He begins playing a light, lilting dance, the melody all glinting sunlight and new leaves, turning in a warm spring breeze.*

It is quite lovely to see. All the different colors, whirling in the dance. It is a celebration of the renewal of the world. Kibeth used to frequent them, long ago. I attended a few, through the years, with whatever Abhorsen was alive at the time.

*He grins.* Today was the first time I had the opportunity to actually dance it, though.

"It seems many worlds celebrate the returning of springtime and the sun." She smiles faintly. "There were many sorts of festivals for it back in my world. Mostly on Midgard, but we had our own on Asgard as well. I think its just that people prefer the light and the warmth, no matter where they're from."

"I'm glad you managed to learn that dance, Yrael. Even if you never had a chance to dance it before. You did quite well. For a beginner." She grins.

*He smirks.* I watched it enough to memorize the movements. After that, it was not hard to dance it. *He sticks out his tongue at her.* You did well, too, I guess. For learning it as you go.

*He's so very joking. She danced perfectly.*

Svava knows she did! So she just grins at Yrael. "Oh, I muddled along. I'll pick it up, eventually."

*He looks mock-pedantic.* There will be a test over this, you know. To see how well you do pick it up.

*He grins.*

"Well, if I don't do well, it will only be because of who taught me." She laughs.

*He lowers his head, mock-contrite.* I guess it is not a good thing, to fail your only student.

"Aw." She reaches to pat his shoulder. "So sorry, dear Yrael."

*He sighs.* There goes my career as a teacher.

But there is hope. *he raises an eyebrow at her, failing to hide his amused smile.* You had better do well on the test, then.

"Oh... I'll try, I supposed." A long-suffering sigh and roll of her eyes.

*he smirks at her.* Hm... Perhaps it is not my fault I never had any hope of becoming a good teacher.

She laughs, shaking her head. "Well, if your attempts to teach me to play on the recorder were any indication..."

*he smirks cheerfully.* Ah, good. Not my fault at all, then.

She laughs, and starts for the bar. "A drink, Yrael?"

*He follows her, smiling.* That would be perfect, after a dance such as that. On my tab, however. I insist.

"If you insist, then." To the bar, pondering.

"... Two of those Atomic Cats, then."

*Yrael hands Svava one of the highball glasses that appear on the Bar, taking one for himself. He sips his drink.*

And I do insist.

*He holds his drink up to the light.* How have you been?

"I've been... thinking." She nods, and takes a taste of the Atomic Cat, then blinks, looking at the drink for a moment.

"And talking to people."

*He smiles.* It has an interesting taste, does it not? I find I quite like it.

Who all have you been talking to?

"It certainly is interesting." She's still trying to decide if she likes it or not.

"Well... Have you seen Hannibal lately?" Vaguely amused.

*He smiles.* Indeed, I have. He accuses me of making him yawn.

*He sounds amused.* Did his shape startle you?

"Hm. Less than the one before it." A bit of a mutter, rolling her eyes, and another sip of her drink.

"Though it did prompt me to figure out some runes to identify someone, even if they're in another shape."

Oh? I admit knowing only as much about Runes as I could glean from a moment's perusal of Archie's notes on the subject. How would you use Runes to find out who someone is, in a situation like that?

In the Charter, we have our own way, but... *he smiles*... I am always curious.

"I'm sure you do." Svava chuckles, then begins writing with a fingertip on the bar.

"It works if you suspect who it is already, and you know their name. Not a... True Name, but one close to it. I know Mister Doctor Hannibal Lecter, and that works for this. The runes... they see if who it is matches the name you give. If the person does, you see it."

*Yrael holds down a hand to Edielweiss, who had followed them over to the bar. She gingerly climbs up his shirt sleeve to his shoulder, where she perches, enjoying the higher view.*

We have something not altogether different, in the Charter. But it is dependant on a ceremony near the time of birth.
