An unfamiliar figure stepped through the door, and it was clear from her posture that she tensed the moment she realized that she had not arrived at her intended location. She was a rather small, lithe little thing, but it was clear by her build that she was no idle girl. Instead, her muscles contributed to her lean figure that stood out in her form fitting black shirt and pants.

Blinking, the black-haired girl warily observed her surroundings. This was definitely not her training area. The door had already closed behind her. This, indeed, was a mystery. And although solving a mystery wasn't her area of expertise, she decided to explore a bit to determine her location.

Stepping carefully, she peered around, trying to disguise her obvious curiosity.

( Mun will be leaving for bed at 11PM, so expect slowtime then. )

How to explain her situation? She couldn't exactly tell the boy that her father had raised her as an assassin and Batman had later taken her in to turn her into a hero.

"He...gone. Not dead...gone." She settled for that answer for now. "And...sorry. For your parents." And she truly did look sorry. It was part of why she did what she did.

"I'm going to fight bad guys when I grow up." Fiercely and surely.

Okay, this boy definitely seemed familiar. Cassandra simply couldn't place it, though. Really, she didn't meet young boys all that often.

"That...good goal." After all, it was what she did. It was a dangerous job, but someone had to do it.

"I need to learn how, though." He gestures to the book. "So I read books."

Cassandra screwed her face up a bit in distaste at that. She really wasn't too fond of reading and learning that way. She would much rather do it and learn from her mistakes.

He cocks his head, curious. "You don't like books?"

The black-haired girl shook her head in a negative manner. Nope, no books for Cassandra.

"Doing...better," she declared.

"Uh-huh. But I need to know how before I can do things. And people here are always too busy to show me."

"Reading...only do so much." She had heard Robin saying that one time. That you actually needed to do it to learn it.

"No one...teach?"

"Well, Raph's always busy, and I don't know too many other people. Besides," he looks down, "most of them look at me a little funny when I ask them to teach me."

Well, Bruce was a little young. But then again, Cassandra had been even younger when she had trained with Cain. But again, she wasn't normal.

"You are...bit small," she said, although she tried to say it lightly to make a joke.

"No, I'm not!" Bruce tries to look as big as possible. "Besides, I'll grow. Mommy always said I would be tall like Daddy."
