*He's munching on one, and eyeing the others pensively.*

*Andrew looks up and smiles.*

Hey, Ray. Fried paradoxes. Want one?

Ray looks down at the paradoxes. "Sure, I guess," he says, picking one up. "What were they before they were fried?" He sniffs at the one in his hand. "Is there sour cream?"

You could probably get some from the bar.

*Munch.*

Ray nods, ordering that and his usual beer.

"Okay, yeah, this is really good... listen, Andrew, when you get the chance I have something I wanna show you."

Sure, what?

[gone_byebye]

"Body switching machine," Ray says. "Flash doesn't want me to keep it, says it's too dangerous, but I thought you should at least see before I sent it back to the woman who made it for me."

[stilljustandrew]

*Andrew just looks at Ray for a moment.*

Body. Switching. Machine.

[gone_byebye]

"Yeah. From another galaxy, actually, courtesy of said galaxy's most intelligent inhabitant. Washu was pretty cool about the whole thing."

He considers the paradoxes in front of him and asks the bar for some red wine vinegar as well.

*Andrew buries his face in his hands and begins to laugh helplessly.*

Ray just blinks at Andrew's response. "Did I say something wrong?"

[stilljustandrew]

Body switching, *Andrew explains, before he starts laughing again.*

[gone_byebye]

Ray sighs. "Okay, okay, maybe that wasn't the best idea in the world, but I was going to ask her about cloning something to move a spirit into and she sort of got ahead of me since she already had memory-purging technology on hand and just had to modify it a bit. Look, it was the best I could do." He pauses. "You're still laughing. I'm not getting the joke, am I."

[stilljustandrew]

*The laughter is starting to wind down now. Which is good. It wasn't particularly healthy laughter.*

Body switching kind of tends to happen around here anyway. Or, well, not 'happen.' Anthy does it. Sometimes accidentally.

[gone_byebye]

"Oh." Ray winces. "So no persuading the demon that he wants to take up residence in a different body, huh? Damn, and I thought we had the easy answer. I'm sorry, Andrew."

[stilljustandrew]

Guess not.

*He sighs.*

The easy answer would probably backfire anyway. Easy answers tend to do that.

"Unfortunately, yeah." Of course, some people don't view visiting another galaxy entirely in the company of a small child cabbit creature to be part of the easy answer, but oh well. "I'll send it back as soon as I get the chance. And keep thinking in the meantime. Looks like I might have to go find Egon after all."
