New arrival
It's not the first time Iris has plowed through an open door leaving the usual streak of red and yellow lightning in her wake. She curses. So much for keeping up with her father. Then it occurs to her that she really ought to work on skidding to a halt.
She manages to slow down enough that the wall stops her. Ow. Good job, Kid Flash. Way to impress the locals.
Iris rubs her nose before she looks over her shoulder. Huh. Where is she now?

"Your Wallys daughter? Holy .... Oooh boy. This is gonna be trouble..."
Thad gestures up at the window.
"I have some theories about how our speed force interacts with timeon particles, but nothing definite right now. So far the best answer people give me is magic."
no subject
"Trouble?" Her father didn't cause trouble. He just looked down his nose at everyone, including his own children like some God on Mt. Olympus. "Why trouble?"
Iris stares for five seconds. "...Intense."

Bart waits for a moment.
"At the age of about 14."

"This place is displaced in time. I have a hard time coming in consecutively actually. I've been known to show up 10 years after i should. It's the whole speed thing i think, maybe my Allen shielding."
Then he gets back on task.
"Yes, your father is here from the moment he got struck by the lightning. Freaky, huh? Even weirder, i boosted him into super speed."
no subject
"Thisismega-necrotic."
no subject
"Completey double plus ungood. So, when're you from?"

Thad shrugs.
"I originate in the 30th century if thats any help"
no subject
She blinks. "Icy. What's the 30th century like?"
no subject
Thad shrugs.
"Most of my time there was spent in a Virtual Reality simulator to keep up with my accelerated growth. But i keep finding myself back there, and the fun thing about the future is that it keeps changing."
Thad thinks a moment.
"We're cousins then, right? How old're you?"
no subject
Then she frowns. "That is mega-necrotic too."
Wally wasn't the best father but at least she hadn't been put in a simulator. Though she knows he wouldn't have considered her important enough for a simulator-- and that was enough of that self-pity bullshit.
"Cousins sounds about right. I'm eighteen."
no subject
Thad smiles a bit.
"It wasn't that bad. There was no one else with super speed around to help me, and i was aging superfast."
Thad taps himself and an energy image double pops out of him, scowling. It speaks next.
"What're you talking about? It screwed us up for life!"
Thad shakes his head.
"Hey, it's why we became Impulse."
"And thats a good thing?"

"Sorry... Wow, so you're a hero in your time too? Wait'll you meet the rest of the Titans..."
no subject
She smiles. "Yes. I'm a Teen Titan in my time too."
She can't wait to tell the others about this place. Which...huh... "Will I be able to get back home?"
no subject
"Maybe? Try the door and see. Barry can't leave, and I'm stuck here until the Bar spits me out."
no subject
She looks over her shoulder back towards the younger speedster. "What's this mean?"
no subject
"I dunno. Try stepping out? I don't really use the door."
no subject
She opens it and run out a ways. She comes back with a frown and snow all over her jacket and hair. She shuts the door firmly and wipes off the snow.
Flatly. "Well, apparently I can get places. I just can't get home."
no subject
"It's okay, my girlfriend is bound here too."
no subject
"What does this mean as far as my home's concerned?"
no subject
"Maybe your timeline has vanished? or maybe you're just not allowed home yet."
no subject
no subject
"Want a drink?"
