Val walks into the bar from the House of Arch in a green sweater, and black shirt. She picks up a mug of green tea from the bar, along with a book. Wait. That's normal. Oops. What isn't normal is her reactions to the book she was given. Sitting down, she stares at the book Bar gave her. Speaker for the Dead Stuttering for a moment, she puts it gingerly down on the table, and pulls out another book from her apron, reading that, but eying the other one.

Faith bounces up to Val, grabbing her hands, and twirls her around, grinning like an utter loon. Happy Faith? Looks that way.

Woah. Val's books fall off the table as Faith turns her around. "Hey to you too, Faith. You looks wonderful." She grins. "Why the celebration?"

"No more dreams," Faith says, dragging Val into an improptu dance. "Found the problem. Fixed the problem. Dreams are gone." She dips the waitress, winking, and then pulls her back to her feet.

Val chuckles a bit, trying to keep up with the dance. She's not bad. "Oh, that's wonderful! Definitely something to celebrate." Her eyes sparkle. "Luke's back, too. I dunno if I told you he was gone, but yeah. He's back." She's beaming. "Definitely celebration time."

"Oh good." Faith releases her, grinning. "Good for both of us, then. I get to not blow up from paradox, and you, I'm assuming, get some Jedi nookie."

Val turns flourescent red. "Uh, well, um. We haven't yet, but probably might in the near future." She smirks, but is obviously still a bit embarrassed.

"You ought to. He's kinda dishy, that one." Faith grins. "Not as good as Connor, but not bad."

Val blushes again, and grins. "I think so. He's so hot, and, um, I think I'd better stop before I get all sappy." A twinkle in her eyes. "How's about you keep Connor, and I'll keep my Jedi?"

"Sounds good to me." Faith smirks. "I get possessive, y'know."

Val smirks right back. "Oh, I do too. Gotta save my fiance from all of the fangirls."

"Fangirls?" Faith snickers. "Am I the only person alive who hasn't seen those movies?"

"You just might be." Her eyes twinkle. "He walked into the bar during a showing of it. Poor boy, he about had a fit, from what I hear." A shrug. "Granted, there are books about me."

"Yeah, I'm from a TV show, apparently...started in Buffy's, go figure, but Tim says I got one of my own." She looks quite pleased about this, actually. "Ten whole seasons."

Val grins. "Hey, that's awesome." Her eyes twinkle. "I wish I had my own book. I'm kinda a backwards mention in one about my brother."

"I was a villain in Buffy's show, I think," Faith says, with a shrug. "At least you didn't murder anybody."

A dry chuckle. "No, my brothers have the corner on that one. Although, I have killed someone since I came to the bar." A smirk.

"...say what, now?"

Faith is rather startled. Uhm. To say the least.

Val sighs. "Ok, so it's a bit of a long story. I went back to my world to get a corpse for a ghoul, and got captured, because my brother is the leader of the world. The bastard tortured me and tried to rape me and kuso like that. Well, eventually, I ended up kicking him. A lot. And, uh, he died." She looks a bit sheepish.

Faith blinks some more, and then her expression goes...pretty dangerous. See, it's the 'angry' icon. "Good."

Val looks down at the table. biting her lip. "I, uh, didn't want to do it, but it kinda happened."

Faith's angry face goes away, and she puts a hand on Val's shoulder. "I'm glad you did. We're fond of you here, don't wanna lose you."

She smiles gently at Faith, still a bit deflated. "Thanks. It means a lot how many people here care."

Faith smiles back. "Yeah, it surprises me too. I mean, how many care about me."

Beat.

"Oh, by the way...I met another member of our little extended family. Ron Weasley." She grins. "Six siblings, Val? Not enough family, you think?"

Val grins. "Ron's a dear. And he does have a lot of family, doesn't he?" Her eyes twinkle. "One can never have enough family, methinks."

"He was very nice," Faith agrees. "I'm going to teach him to defend himself. Knife-throwing, probably some hand-to-hand."
