Wally is in the bar. He looks very, -very- bored. It's taking all his willpower to not dash around the bar at superspeed, playing pranks.

But he's resisting. Admirable, huh?

Turtle puffs up with pride. "Sure I do. I made $11,587.50 a few months ago. Well, to be honest I was given ten thousand to start with, but I made it grow." She grins. "I think I like your dad. Where are you from? Er... When are you from?"

"Thanks. I can do better." She sits up, giving him her full attention. "1996? Wow. I'm from 1980. Wisconsin."

Turtle looks at him askance. She really wants to ask more questions about his dad, but figures that might be rude. Maybe she should let it go. After all, her mother had told her she was acting "unusually mature" the other day. Turtle had been walking a bit taller ever since.

"Have you been here long? I share a room with Violet upstairs sometimes. When I'm not home or being tortured at school."

"Nope. You don't look sixteen." Turtle grins. "This place pulls people from different times and places. Pretty nifty, huh?" She nods enthusiastically. "Violet's my best friend. She's a lot cooler than the girls at school. I wish she could teach me that invisible trick. I don't have any superpowers. Well, Baba says my brain can be superhuman, but it's not the same." Turtle is dangerously close to pouting. "I want to fly or something cool like that."
