Wally is in the bar. He looks very, -very- bored. It's taking all his willpower to not dash around the bar at superspeed, playing pranks.

But he's resisting. Admirable, huh?

"He's bossy?"

She doesn't want the man to be a big bully. She can't follow her almost-father home and beat his father up.

Wally laughs strangely. "I suppose you could say that."

Iris looks concerned. "What...does he do?"

Wally shrugs. This conversation... really uncomfortable.

"He just doesn't like the way I do things. He says I've got my head in the clouds."

"Ah. I'm...sorry to pry."

"You know...we might be from different...timelines..."

"No, no." Wally waves a hand. "I gave you a chance to ask. I just... " He smiles apologetically. "Don't like to talk about it."

He pauses. "Different timelines? Why?"

Looks down. "I thought...um...maybe that would be comforting..."

"Comforting?" She's lost him.

"If we weren't related. I mean...this can't be very comforting."

"For who? -Me-?" Wally frowns. "You've just told me I actually do something right with my life... and it's something I can actually -believe-. It's comforting."

Unlike the whole 'Flash' thing, which just seems too... unbelievable to him.

Oh. Ow. Guilt. She smiles though. "Your future will be a brighter one."

"Really?"

"Oh yeah. Much better. You're a hero."

"You've been talking to Bart." Wally laughs.

She shakes her head. "No. I've seen you rescue an entire building of people from a fire. I've seen you battle countless supervillains. You're a hero."

And it'd be really dumb to ask if she was sure it was him. 'Cuz. Kind of his daughter.

"...Oh." Wally's just not sure what to say.

"But don't worry... You're just a kid now."

"Yeah... but everyone around here seems to expect me to become a lot more."

Iris debates and then shrugs. "What you become is what you choose to become. It's up to you and I'm not trying to pressure you."

"Can... can you tell me some about -you-?" Wally looks eager. "'Cuz you haven't so far."

And hearing all about how she turns out is a lot better than hearing all about how he's -supposed- to turn out.

Iris blinks and is surprised to find how sad this makes her. Her dad's...Hoo. She wills herself to stop. That's not fair to do to this boy.

"Everything's pretty Icy for me back home. I have a brother...we don't get along all that great but we race a lot."
