Claire smiles. "This is how it happened for me. After I was kidnapped I escaped and Charlie's friend brought me back here." She conveniently leaves out all the weird plot contradictions.

"I fainted or something when I first got here and was in a sort of coma for a few weeks. Then when I woke up so many people here took me in and took care of me, I just never wanted to leave."

She glances around the room happily. "Almost everyone here is so nice. They've given me everything I need to raise Seth properly."
