*Xander sits down at a table to do a little people-watching. Normally not the kind of thing he goes in for-- but here, Milliways being what it is, he considers it an Olympic sport, if not an art form.

He grins and leans back in his chair. It's been a crazy week, that's for sure, what with meeting Death and Lucifer-- not to mention Meg, who falls under a category completely separate from the rest of humankind. Plus Pikachu, can't forget that little guy. All evil karaoke machines aside, things really aren't so bad here, after all.

Sadly, as often happens when people are happy and relaxed, Xander lets his guard down. He leans a little TOO far back in his seat, causing his chair to come crashing to the floor.*

AGH!

Sara's not laughing. Really. She's not. She hurries over and extends a hand to help Xander up.

"You all right?"

*Xander gets to his feet sheepishly, righting his chair.*

Yeah, of course! I was just, you know, practicing ... um, dealing with unexpected, forceful impacts. Yeah.

... Obviously, my physical grace is only surpassed by my social grace. *He puts out his hand.* Xander Harris, clumsily yours.

Shaking his hand, she gives into her laughter. "Sara Sidle, helpfully yours. And, don't worry. I've been known to trip over thin air."

Good to know.

Want to sit down? *He gestures towards the opposite chair.* I think I've got the hang of the whole sitting thing now.

"Sure." She sits down, still grinning. "So where are you from?"

Ex-Sunnydale, California. 2003. How about you?

"Las Vegas, Nevada. 2005 going on eternity at the moment."

*Xander heaves a sigh of relief.*

I was afraid you were going to say that you were from a hellish future where we've all been replaced by robots. Or that you were a wizard. Or a jedi. It's kind of a relief to meet someone from Nevada right about now, if you know what I mean.

She laughs sympathetically. "I was talking with a god this afternoon. I know how you feel. And I was also arguing with a colonial navy officer." She shrugs. "Never boring around here, that's for sure.

*Xander frowns, remembering his recent conversation with Lucifer.* Are you sure he was a god?

But yeah, that's true. *He grins.* Finally, people with lives of a weirdness value equal to or greater than my own. Even though it gets exhausting, and I am grateful for Nevada, it is also pretty cool.

*He leans in and speaks confidentially.* I met one of the Harry Potter kids the other night.

"Really? Wow." She grins. "I met Professor Snape."

Was he scary?

"Mmmm...not really. Not to me, at least. He attempted to intimidate me. I wasn't impressed."
