From the back door storms the Valkyrie. Its been wet and cold and rainy and overall miserable outside- all the better for trying to work off a temper. And given Ace's good advice, she's totally forgotten she's wearing the space agey red and black armor.
What? It fits well and she can move around easily. You're not going to make her self-conscious of it again, are you?
Mwaha.

He nods, still looking somewhat confused by the whole idea.

He nods. "In this place, aye." He's still boggling somewhat.
no subject
"Oh, this place? The head of security is one of those I mentioned who changes into a wolf. His young daugher does as well, and his son is often at times a gust of air. Literally. Then there are wizards and gods and sages, cars who are people... And have I mentioned Jormungand, the World Serpent?" She beams, and sips her hot chocolate.

...A giant lion, and now a world serpent. Lovely.
He abandons the half-hearted scowl to stare at her. "A great snake? A Guardian?"
no subject
Svava bites her lip, and shrugs.
"He's... on the other side. He will end up killing Thor, on the plains of Vigard. But here? And which ever world he's from, that isn't quite mine? He's quite nice. He looks human for the most part, while he's here. You should meet him, his name's Yamino." A quick, reassuring smile and nod.
"And all of those people are nice. Different, yes... but nice."

Even if nothing else about the description is. Milliways: the most efficient way to break a gunslinger's brain.
He is, at least, getting quite good at setting things aside to boggle over later. For now, he blinks, and nods -- not without sympathy, if this serpent's counterpart in her world will be on the other side of that battle -- and says, "I will look for him, then. For all of them, if I can keep all that straight well enough."
He can keep the descriptions straight. He has a well-trained memory. Treating it matter-of-factly is a slightly different matter.

"Just... do try to be better than me, and not toss hot chocolate on them?"
no subject
"I promise to try. Though it would be easier if I knew what hot chocolate was."
no subject
"Trying all the different things from different places."
A cup of hot chocolate is ordered.
no subject
"Aye? I've asked for things I know, mostly. Not very adventurous, I wot."
He tries the hot chocolate.
It's startlingly sweet. And also very good indeed. His eyebrows go up appreciatively. Looks like Alain now has a new option for caffeinated beverages.
no subject
"I'll order things if I've had them before, or if someone else is getting them, so they can explain what they are. I'm only adventurous so far, I'm afraid, when it comes to food." She chuckles.
no subject
"Wise of you. Gods only know what giant serpents and... cars and such consider a good dinner."
He remembers, belatedly, that she works for the gods, and reminds himself to watch that sort of automatic phrasing around her.
no subject
"And I guess... well, the cars do run on strong liquor, and the giant serpent does quite well baking strawberry cakes. I do consider those sorts of things edible."
no subject
He shakes his head, with a breath of laughter, and looks back down at the hot chocolate. "I should learn to stop even trying to figure this place out, should I not?"
no subject
With that, Svava stands. "I've been out running for most of the day, I think I should get a bit of rest tonight. If you would excuse me then, Alain?"
no subject
"Wise advice, sai. And thankee for the hot chocolate." A smile. "Long days and pleasant nights."
no subject
And Svava departs.
