"I'm sorry I am forgetting my manors."

He bows deeply with grace and elegance.

"I am first wizard Zeddicus Zu`l Zorander, but call me Ruben."

He grins widely at her.

"And who may you be?"

Anthy looks a little confused. "Ruben?"

"I'm Anthy Himemiya." She stops knitting to reach for the teacup, and takes a sip. "Pleased to meet you."

"Yes Ruben."

He rolls the name around in his head. He has always liked that name, he may as well use it some while he is here.

"It is good to meet you Lady Himemiya."

He sits down in a nearby chair.

"May I ask what you are knitting?"

"I'm not a lady," Anthy says mildly. "Most people call me Anthy."

She holds up the knitting, with some pride. "I'm making a sweater for Joanie, Susan's little elephant. Have you met her?" It's not clear if she means Susan or the elephant."

Zedd sadly shakes his head.

"I do not believe I have met either of them I am sad to say"

A smile returns to his face.

"It is a very cute sweater though, and looks very well made. Did you teach yourself how to knit?"

"Thank you." Anthy beams, and then pauses. "I don't remember, exactly. Maybe."

She takes another sip of tea, and begins to knit again.

Forgetting his own tea, he uses his magic to float it over to himself. He sips on his tea off and on.

"Even if you didn't, it is still something to be very proud of."

Anthy doesn't blink at the floating tea. Cheerfully: "Can you knit?"

Zedd again shakes his head.

"That is sadly not one of my talents, but I have others."

His smiles broadens.

"Oh?" She tilts her head. "What talents?"

Zedd shrugged.

"I am a very talented healer, and have a very extensive knowledge of herbs and roots for healing that compliments my healing greatly."

He smiles.

"I have a large number of shields I can product with great effectiveness then most other people I have met."

For the last of the three he grins his largest grin.

"And I have been teaching myself how to play the flute for a little while now, and I have been told I am quite good."

"Oh, you can heal?" She pauses, again. "Do you know Moiraine?"

Anthy looks down at her knitting for a moment, and then back at Zedd. "I play piano. I didn't teach myself, though."

Zedd nods.

"I have had the pleasure to meet Moiraine. She is a rather nice person, if not a little wary of other people at times."

And his rather large grin returns.

"Do you really? I would like to play a duet with someone, would you like to play with me sometime?"

"If you like," Anthy says, hesitantly. "I haven't played in a while."

"Oh, yes, Moiraine can be a little suspicious at times," she adds. "Odd, isn't it?"

Zedds nods.

"Yes it can be. But I know there can be times for suspicious thoughts. I have had times when I have had to be so."

He grins.

"It was just a thought. If you want to get some practice I would love to play with you."

"Have you?" Anthy murmurs.

"That might be nice," she adds, "if I'm allowed to use the piano. I'm not sure it's for public use."

Zedd sighs heavily.

"I do not like war, but when it threatens those I love I will fight for their freedom. That is when I try to be careful more then usual."

He grins.

"The piano is for public use if you ever want to practice."

Anthy looks intrigued. "There's a war, where you're from? Over what?"

"I might try it, then," she says, and glances at the piano corner. "It's probably bad to let myself forget how."

"I wouldn't say it is bad to forget. Perhaps less satified in yourself."

Zedd nods solenmly.

"Yes we had war. I ended it though."

"Oh, I don't really care whether or not I can play. But it would be a shame to learn and then to let it rust."

She takes another drink of tea, and resumes the knitting. "You did? How?"

Zedd looks proud.

"I put up a shield around their entire country to keep them from fighting us again."

He smiles warmly.

"When you think you have practiced enough let me know. I will be more then hsppy to play a duet with you."

"A shield around the entire country?" Anthy echoes, blinking. "They -- they can't leave?"

"All right, I will." She hesitates. "Maybe when there aren't so many people in the bar."

"No they can't. If they were able to they would attack us again. Don't worry there is plenty of room there for them, they are not in any danger by me doing so. I saved hundreds of thousands of live by doing as I did."

Zedd nodded.

"Yes I can see where you would want to wait until there are less people."

"I suppose it doesn't really matter," she says, after a moment. "And it's just a barrier."

She looks a little worried. "You can?"

"Of course. Aren't you a little scared that since you haven't played in a while that you won't be any good and hence why you want to wait for there to be less people? I know I would be. It would be aweful for me to have to face something like that."
