*Meg wanders downstairs and into the bar, coffee mug in hand and tutu around her waist. And everyone subsequently dies of shock.*

"I remember that much, yes." She nods, then sighs and rests her head on her arms. "Eh. We were all talking about... she was asking about Ragnarok, things like that."

*Meg's eyes widen in sudden comprehension.*

The End of the World -

"Well... yes." She nods at Meg, looking at her curiously.

That's sort of important to Anthy, *Meg explains, rather awkwardly.*

"... Why? She was asking about it...what the signs were, and so on."

*Meg hesitates.*

I don't know, exactly. But I think it has something to do with her curse, and all.

"... the sword in her, yes?" She peers at Meg.

That, and the whole immortal slave thing . . .

Svava frowns faintly. "... How does that go?"

*Meg grins, without much humor.* Well, she has to do what whoever wins the duels says, and she can't die . . .

"Whoever duels with her sword?" A nod, and she frowns faintly.

"The sword, its... something special, isn't it?"

It's an ex-person, *Meg says bluntly.* I think.

Svava just staaaaaaaaaaaaares at Meg for a while.

"... how? er. Its not her own soul, or a piece of it?"

I think it's someone else's, *Meg says, biting her lip.* Her brother's, is what I've heard.

More staring.

"Who's her brother? He's... is he alive elsewhere?"

*Meg shakes her head.*

His name is - was -

Er. I don't remember it but it sounded sort of like God.

".... like just a name, or he is really...??"

The name sounded sort of like God.

*Meg shrugs, helplessly.* As for the rest - who knows?

"But he... or He... is a god, or... That would mean His sister.."

She said she wasn't human.

I dunno what that means, though.

"There's a great many people that aren't human, Meg." She mutters finally.

"And there are different sorts of immortality, and different sorts of gods."

I know.

*Meg nods.* It's dangerous to judge people on the basis of what they can be labelled. I try not to, generally.

"True enough." A faint smile and nod to the ballerina.

"I just meant that... differences sometimes come into effect on things."

People, *Meg says quietly,* are still people.

Human or not.

"Of course, and always, Meg. Like... some of the others who can shapeshift here. If one of them got hurt, and they were a wolf, you would still have to know how to help doctor a wolf's body, even if they were a person. That's what I'm meaning."
