*She shows it to him.*

*Bernard reads it, then looks up at Meg, perplexed.*

*Meg makes a face.*

We've got a Phantom in the bar, it looks like. With a severe case of exclamation point diarrhea.

*He blinks, as he doesn't know really much of anything about Meg or her own O.G.*

A phantom? Like... Paul?

Not quite, *Meg explains.* More like someone who goes around in a mask and fancy dress being an evil genius and stalking people.

*Bernard blinks.*

Because . . . he's an insane evil genius? *Meg hazards.*

Anyways. *Meg sighs and eyes the tab listings.* I got a vague feeling I was supposed to give the note to someone in chargeish. In the absence of a Seldom Bucket, I think that's you.

Well, can't you just give it to Bar to keep until he arrives?

I'm afraid, *Meg says solemnly,* that the excess of AHAHAHAs and exclamation points might do weird things to Bar's inner workings.

*He nods, just as solemnly.*

I'll just keep it on hand, then.

Besides, *Meg adds, with a grin,* it was more fun to see your face.

*In the calm before the storm you can do that kind of thing!*

How long have you had this?

Only a day or two. *Meg frowns, and adds darkly,* I hope he doesn't try speaking through the plumbing like our Phantom did, is all. That was bloody irritating. I mean, he thought it was all secret, but honestly you could hear it all over the Opera House -

*Meg grins innocently.* All I'm saying is, if he was trying to keep it secret, he should have just showed up outside her room like a normal stalker.
