Somehow, Cassandra found herself at Milliways once again. Black top, a bit of midriff, and black sweatpants. It was obvious that she had not been on duty for those who knew what business she was in.
And, once again, Cassandra looked lost.
And, once again, Cassandra looked lost.

"I suppose.
He considered her for a second.
"I take it that you have a somewhat tragic past as well?"
no subject
"Not...tragic," Cassandra said. "But not...normal."
no subject
"An abnormal background, eh? I suppose I fall into that category as well."
no subject
Did Cassandra just crack a joke? Yes, indeed she had.

She was a protector. It didn't matter what those she protected did. She never thought about how they lived or anything like that.

"To truly live is... how should I say this?"
He paused.
"It is to find why you want to continue breathing, and then do whatever that might be."
no subject
"Like...your music?" And her identity as Batgirl?
no subject
"Yes, music is my one consuming passion."
no subject
"I...think I get it."
no subject
"That is quite good."

But she then remembered where she had been before she came. Training. And then she was supposed to have a lesson with Oracle.
"I...have to go," she said, getting up from her seat. "Have things to do." She paused before continuing. "It was...nice talking to you."
no subject
"Of course, I have kept you overly long."
He stood up from his chair.
"It was a pleasure to speak with you, Lady Cassandra."
Asmodean gave a deep bow, before turning and walking away without another word.
