A man walks in.
He's moderately tall, black hair a little long on top and curly, falling into his face. Blue eyes look down at the bundle in his arms, the little tuft of similarly black hair sticking out the top the only indication of what it might be other than the absolute adoration in his eyes. Nestled in the crook of his arm is tall golden staff, hook on the end gleaming in the low light.
He's not dressed up really. There's a Hawaiian shirt, open and showing a wifebeater underneath, accompanied by a black leather jacket tied around his waist. Green goggles sit atop his head at a rakish angle. He's in loose slacks, accompanied by black boots, and he looks like he's had a long day.
"Hello, Kyle...how're you tonight? Daddy's home from extra work and Mikey and Tony are all gone and it's just you and..."
He looks up.
Blinks in confusion.
"Me?"

"Right. I'll keep that in mind. I like my baked goods strictly benevolent. They have more chocolate chips that way."
no subject
Eris shrugs, and takes another sip of her tea.
no subject
He adjusts the bottle a little.
"I'm working on the careful side of things, considering. I mean, if something comes up, I'll..."
He points to the cosmic rod with nod of the head.
"But this little guy's my main concern."
no subject
"Well, if you're lucky, you'll manage to avoid all the purple in this bar... and after all, having your son be your main concern isn't really a bad thing, after all."
no subject
"Yeah. I was...kinda thinking of giving up the Rod before I ended up here...focus on the kid, join...join Sadie and everything."
He shrugs.
"Guess I got a little prempted on that...though I'm glad I got here with it."
Because he wants to be able to protect his son if any of those dead people he's not really hoping to meet show up.
no subject
"What's your son's name, by the way? I confess to a curiosity in the matter, as he's utterly adorable."
no subject
"Kyle. Kyle Theodore Knight."
And he leans down to stroke his face with one finger.
"Little guy's got his daddy's good looks."
no subject
"He'll be at least as much of a looker as you, yeah."
no subject
"Oh yeah. Ladies, look out. Man with a baby, coming at ya."
no subject
"You never know. Kyle here isn't the only bebe in the bar I've seen... there's a lady name of... Claire? I think? As just gave birth a few weeks ago now. Friend of my Er- friend of a friend of mine called Sawyer."
Her grin has turned a bit sheepish. Maybe.
no subject
"Somebody for Kyle to play with then...though he's probably a little older. Since I'm stuck here, I might as well check that out."
no subject
A shrug.
no subject
"You, uh...did just say Snow White, right?"
Gods, sure, fine, right...he can handle that. But fairytales?
no subject
"Yeah... she took one of my apples, actually, the first day I came in this time around... She was the fairest one of all, after all. Made sense, really."
no subject
"Riiiiight."
no subject
no subject
"So...uh...key? And, um..."
It hits him.
"God, I don't have his stroller or his toys or his crib or his bottles or even his pacifier, oh christ..."
no subject
She grins.
"Come on, then, if Kyle's set well enough... I'll take you over to meet her, and she'll set you up right."
no subject
"I'll take him with, if it's all the same to you."
Which, considering the recent and not-so-recent events, is understandable.
no subject
"That's... what I meant...?"
She shrugs, shaking her head.
"Anyway... if he's not going to fuss if you pick him up and carry him around..."
She leads the way from the booth, perching on a barstool, and waits for him to follow.
no subject
"Nah, kid's cool. Kyle's good about this stuff."
He reaches out a hand and hooks his goggles on his Rod. He's not worried about that so much. Mostly because it's keyed to him and he can call it with a thought.
"All right, so, bar. Bar gives me diapers and formula and a crib? And, uh, who pays for all this cause I don't have a dime on me."
no subject
"Right, then, introductions. Bar, sweetheart, this is Jack Knight, and his son Kyle, and he's fresh in and fresh Bound as well. Jack, this is Bar, and she's really quite nice as long as you're respectful. If you're not, you'll be enjoying the attentions of an irate redheaded bartender who's rather fond of explosives... not to mention Bar's fiance, Broom."
Eris grins.
"Go on, then, Jack. Say hello. Ask her for something, or tell her what you want in the room... and don't worry about the tab yet, you can pay for it later, or get a job here somewhere, or make an arrangement to have your tab covered." She shrugs. "I know I have some of Mine on my tab, and Echo as well..."
no subject
"Okay, um, Miss Bar...would, uh, it be possible to get some baby supplies for Kyle here? And, uh, a room? I don't have the money right now, but I'm good for it as soon as I get home, I promise."
no subject
When she straightens, there's a key marked for room 47 sitting in front of Jack.
"There... a single room, ensuite, large enough to make room for the crib in it... just up the stairs and around to the left, you'll find."
Eris smiles.
"And don't worry about paying for your room, Jack. Take care of that boy of yours, though. Family's important."
