Tony has his journal and a pen. The bar has refused to give him any paper. It's okay. He'll improvise. He tears one empty journal page out and flips it over to a blank side. He begins to write.

You can bother him if you want.

Elaine drops by the bar and notices Tony, whom she has not seen for a while. "Good day, Tony...how are you faring today?"

"I am...well, I have been better. Never mind that. What have you been doing lately? I have not seen you in some time."

Elaine isn't stupid, but decides to ignore that. Probably a bad idea, but...

"I take it you are not terribly happy, then. I am sorry about that."

"I have spoken to just about all of the people from your time this week, though I've yet to make the acquaintance of a person named Chase. Oh, Ryan's daughter Christine came into the bar the other night. She seems quite a nice person, though I have not seen her since."

Elaine chews her lip. "I can see the door now," she says quietly.

"Yes. But I...do not want to. I did open the door. There was...nothing there."

She nods. "Blackness. There was nothing there. It was just a...void."

Elaine shrugs. "I suppose I shall have to speak to Death about this. But I am putting it off. I just do not want to face it."

Elaine remains silent as well. The fear is eating her alive, and it's hard to carry on cheerful banter around that.

After a few moments, Elaine gives Tony a sort of side-hug. "I am sorry I am not such good company. I think...I think I need some air."

And with that, she leaves Tony to his writing and heads outside.

Upon returning, Sara glances around the bar in search of people she knowws. She frowns when she spots Tony. He looks like hell.

She walks up to him. "Hey...what's wrong?"

ooc: Not a problem! :)

She looks concerned, but decides to err on the side of caution. "If you say so. But if you need a friendly ear..."
