Cally's back in the bar with her newspaper.
She's frowning at it.
She's doing the crossword puzzle and trying to remember exactly what ichthyologist's study.
If it doesn't occur to her soon, she'll probably have to give in and buy tea. Or something stronger, depending on how the rest of the crossword goes.

"Quite understandable. I imagine that I will be utterly confused within two hours. I may very well never get straightened out."

"Oh, are you new here?" She is surprised; Rhalen certainly doesn't act like he's new.

"Yes, I recently entered when I was attempting to enter my office with a notable lack of success. The company is better here than in my office."
The last remark had no hint of flirtation in the vocal inflection.

"There are many interesting patrons," she agrees brightly. "And most of them are nice. If you haven't gotten a drink already, I understand the first drink in the bar in on the house." She smiles.

"Of course, the opportunity for interaction is unprecedented."

"Sometimes I'm surprised I manage to see the same people more than once." She glances around the bar. "Though, admittedly, the bar isn't as crowded as it often is, tonight."
no subject
"That would seem to pose difficulties."

"It wouldn't surprise me much if this bar managed to make it so people usually found each other."
Magic, she thinks.

"Given that I do not know the bar's exact motivations, I can only speculate, but it seems likely."
He paused.
"Sadly, I must bid you good evening."
He stood up from where he was sitting. He gracefully picked up Cally's hand and kissed it. His skin and lips were quite soft. He glanced up and smiled.
"Perhaps, I will see you again, Lady Cally. May good fortune smile upon you."
He walked away, but not without waving farewell.

"Good evening, Rhalen," she says politely, though she wishes she'd stop blushing, and waves to him as he leaves.
