Hermione inna bar!
"Hello, Bar," she says, patting the Bar's surface. "Any messages for me?"
None appear, so Hermione shrugs and orders a glass of milk and a swiss cheese sandwich. She's got a copy of Ender's Game open on the counter, and she reads while she eats.
{ooc: Closed thread, slowtimed for plot. Comment only if you have a teenaged wizard named Ron or a waitressy genius in your head.}

"Are you going to fly off the handle if I ask you what happened last week?"

He sat down at the bar so that he didn't have to face her, shoulders hunched.
And even though he was acting angry, he was practically putting off vibes of "ask meee! Ask meeee pleeeease! I'm not angry, I'm actually huuurt."

She put her hand on his back comfortingly. "You know how I am. Throw me into a new situation and I'll want to read the book about it first. I'm scared, Ron. There isn't a manual for this place. Even Hogwarts had one, of sorts," she says, thinking of Hogwarts: A History. "The bookcase has been giving me books, and I've been reading them, hoping one of them will magically tell me what to do."
She sighed.
"Tell me what's wrong. I don't need a book to tell me you're upset."

He inhaled deeply, looking down at his hands where they lay on teh barto in front of him, and said simply, "I'll be able to see thestrals now."

"Oh, Ron, what happened?"

He stood and got up to walk away, a bitter, angry look on his face.

Well, that was that. Whether Ron had had a bad week or not, he had no right to speak to her like that. See if she let him.
