*Tom arrives through the House of Arch painting, looking slightly less pre-occupied by evil puppets. Leastways, he's only glancing in the dark corners tonight instead of peering closely. He heads for the bar and his customary scotch.*

It's been too long since Anakin caught up with Tom.

"Tom!" he calls from his barstool. "Over here!"

*Tom smiles and joins Anakin, drink in hand.*

"Well. It's been fairly peaceful, except for a suddenly influx of future grandchildren. I think they are more confused than I am."

He grins. "Also, the Bar is trying to introduce me to new clothing. That was amusing, at least for Kitty and Meg, if not me."

Future grandchildren? Really? How... extraordinary. I really, really hope no future progeny of mine ever descends upon the bar.

"Some form of clothes called 'jeans' and shirts with messages on them."

Ah, yes - the jeans were the first thing Door introduced to me once she pried the corduroys out of my hands. They aren't so bad. I actually like them now.

"They're very comfortable. And useful for working. I think I'll wear them more often, at least once I get everyone else used to the idea."

*He stares at Anakin for a moment, and then laughs.*

Pardon me, I just... I suppose I'm used to seeing you in robes. I can't quite imagine you in jeans.

I would be loathe to totally give up my robes as well, even though I wear regular clothes underneath.

He shakes his head. "We'll all adjust. Which reminds me: can something be done to increase the size of Padme and my room? It's a bit crowded for two, and with the twins on the way..."

I can adjoin another room to your wing, no problem. A nursery room, perhaps?

"Yes. And maybe a seperate workroom? It'll get my projects out from underfoot." It is entirely possible Padme has mentioned the abudance of spare parts *everywhere*.

I'm a sorcerer...I suppose. I use the Will and the Word anyway, though Grandfather says I have a long way to go.
