Bartending :O

*Bernard is behind the bar.

Just, you know. There. Available. For whatever.

He might even, like, take orders or something. If you're nice.*

"I'm sorry - I didn't mean to offend you!"

Asar-Suti is slightly frightened. Oh no, he irritated Bernard!

"It's just that I've never actually seen you behind the bar..."

It would probably be appropriate to order something now?

"Erm, is there any special drink you'd recommend, then?" Asar-Suti asks.

"Oh, Tequila - I had a glass of that, ages ago, when Bartleby was tending bar. I haven't had any for ages; I think I'll take a glass of it, again."

On the one hand, Asar-Suti can do with his metabolism as he pelases. On the other hand, in his original former human body which he now wears again, he couldn't hold his liquor very well. We shall see which option applies right now.

Asar-Suti takes his glass, and drinks.

"Strong stuff," he says, approvingly. "It's good, though. Thanks."

Another sip.

"The weather is getting better, slowly; soon, it's time to put out benches on the lawn, in the garden. Lots of people have been helping me with that, by the way."

"Hagrid? He's great. He very much knows what he's doing, and you wouldn't believe how gently those huge ham-sized hands can plant small plants. He's just a natural gardener. And there has been unexpected help from all sorts of people; I had a machine creature help me with a drainage problem, and two boars, one real and one shape-shifted, had to break the part of the ground toward your patio - we did bury truffles for them, so I think they were happy regardless."

Asar-Suti drinks his Tequila.

"Erm - about those benches?"

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-04-13 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Asar-Suti is suddenly very embarrassed, and mumbles something, shyly, that Bernard most probably can't understand.

"ermyesastheyreforthebarwilligetacoughermbudgetforthem-sorryforaskingofcourseyoudonthavetoahem...."

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-04-13 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Who pays for them?" Asar-Suti yelps, terrified.

"And how do I get money from the Bar? I only ever have seen some put into it," Asar-Suti asks, still a bit frightened.

He may be a god, but this is the barman of Milliways' Bar.

"I bring a receipt, and she understands that?"

Nothing's beyond the Bar, of course.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-04-13 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Erm, yes," Asar-Suti says. He does have a limitless tab of the 'put in one penny, gets oodles of money milennia later' type that's mentioned in the canon for Milliways itself; but still, if he goes and buys benches for everybody's use, it might be correct to get the money back.

"Can I have another tequila?" he then asks, glad the embarrassment is out of the way.

"See you later, then - have a good day with your daughter," Asar-Suti says, smilng at Bernard before wandering off with his glass of Tequila.
