Out by the lake: Elaine's sword lesson

*Alanna stands by the lake, humming and examining a set of throwing knives. Elaine's next sword lesson is scheduled to start soon, and Alanna keeps an eye on the bar door in the hopes that George, Svava and Archie put in an appearance as well.*

The student of stealth elbows Indy in the ribs
It takes him a second, but he does adopt a passable Tom Cruise expression. Smug smile and all.

"And that's just before lunch."

He reaches out and takes Alanna's hand and kisses the back.

"The pleasure is all mine."

*Alanna grins.* I'm sure it would be more impressive if I knew what any of those trades involved. It's a pleasure to meet you, Tom. Welcome to Milliways. We are a hospitable bunch. Stay here long enough and you will have more true friends than you ever thought possible. *She winks at Indy, stretching her arms overhead.* Would you like to stay and watch?

"Oh, we'd love to but we were just going to..."

A crinkled up black garbage bag suddenly drops from Indy's jacket pocket. It decompresses in the grass, and then, without a sound, the sack twitches imperceptibly. A tiny bump around the center sort of hops once or twice.

Indy and Mike trade uneasy glances.

Mr. Cruise swallows hard.

"What Mr. Jones here is trying to say we've really got to be going. You see..."

He bends and picks up the bag, carrying it as if it contained something very precious.

"I'm also a doctor, and we're scheduled to transplant this heart. If you'll excuse us...it really was lovely to meet you."

*Alanna looks at Indy, looks at "Mr. Cruise" and quirks an eyebrow at the bag.

Right.

As if she believes a heart could be transferred from body to body.*

Very well. Have a lovely evening, gentlemen.

"You too dear knight," Indy simpers.

As soon as her back is turned again he lets out a sigh of relief and starts off for the back door with Mike.

"A heart? Sonofa... that was too close."

"she bought it, that's all that matters....that she bought it."

Mike follows Indy to the door, but stops just shy of the door and turns to face his roommate.

"Tom Cruise?"

*Out of the darkness of the doorway comes a voice.*

Yeah, that's what I wanna know too.

*Raph steps out into the light.*

You two are priceless, you know that right?

A light snort. "No thanks to you Mr Lookout. Remind me to ask the three blind mice to keep watch next time."

"Yeah, that's a heap Raph."

"What? You told me to stall her should it look like she's headin' back to her room. She didn't do that. Ain't my fault you two knuckleheads walked right past her."

"We told you we were using the window. In fact, it's you who told us about it," Indy reminds him, holding the door open for Mike.

"Nevermind... mission successful anyway. Buy us a round. We deserve it."

Mike bows slightly to his roommmate, and then flips his brother off before walking into the bar.

"I believe I'm still missing a birthday present from you, slacker."

*Raph gets the door for Indy, ushering the good Doctor inside*
