Iris goes to the bar, gets a scumble, and asks it for a really, really complicated 3-D puzzle of a castle. Which it magnanimously provides.

Then she sets about putting it together at a highly accelerated rate. It's something to do and it's not something she normally has done. ~~Her mun is appeased.~~

*Anthy waves back, and moves closer, looking curiously at the castle.* What's that?

"I asked the bar for a castle puzzle. Hm. I think it's a fairytale one."

She checks the box. "Some castle in Wales. Close enough."

*idly* Do you like castles, then?

Brightly. "Of course. Do you?"

*Anthy looks at the puzzle castle for a few moments longer, and back at her tea.* Of course.

"I've ran past a ton of them but I don't think I ever really went inside a single one."

Why didn't you?

"I usually got side-tracked by the gardens or the forests surrounding them."

*Anthy nods.* That's how it happens in fairy tales.

Iris chuckles. "Then I suppose it's a good thing I didn't see any white stags and didn't pick any flowers."

White stags? *She tilts her head.*

"Hoo. Right. You haven't read the Narnia books then."

The Narnia books?

No, I haven't -- should I?

"Nah, they're just something I liked when I was little. The characters go hunting for a white stag and that's how they find their way home."

*Anthy considers this for a few moments, and says,* I haven't seen any deer around Milliways. It's too bad. I like animals.

"Maybe you could ask the Bar for a miniature one?"

*Anthy smiles brightly, amused.* Maybe I could, but -- Meg pays for my tab. I don't know how expensive miniature deer are.

"Ah. Well, Richard's been helping me out otherwise, I'd get you one."

I have enough pets, anyway.

*Not that Anthy really believes you can ever have enough pets, but. Idly:* Do you have any?

Iris shakes her head. "No. I used to have a greyhound when I was little."

A greyhound? A dog? What was he like?

Iris nods. "Oh he was really great. I named him Max. I would try to go slow so we could race."

*Anthy tilts her head.* Is it still racing, if you're going slow on purpose?

Iris grins. "Max always thought so. It was less about who won though. More about being able to run with someone.

It can get lonely moving so fast."

I guess it would.

*Anthy folds her elbows on the counter, and rests her chin on her arms. She's short. It works.* I rode Susan's horse yesterday. It was nice.

"Icy. What sort of horse?"

I'm not sure, and I don't know if Susan knows, either. He's lovely, though. Bay, with a star.

She smiles. "What's his name?"

Kiseki. *Anthy smiles, too.* "Miracle."

"Aww. Hm. Maybe I should work on learning other languages."

Do you only speak the one?

"Well, I know some French and Spanish. Random phrases in various languages... I learn it quickly but I tend to forget it if there's no one to practice with."

*Anthy considers.* Meg speaks French -- you could try practicing with her. I'm sure she'd be glad to.

As Cally walks towards the fire, she notices the 3D puzzle castle-in-progress. She makes a detour to get a closer look, standing quietly so as not to disturb Iris.

Iris smiles and stops. "Hey."

Cally smiles back, still looking curiously at the puzzle.

"That's a curious type of puzzle. I've never seen one like it before." She moves closer to get a better look at it. "Is that a castle from where you live?"
