Leo wanders into the bar yet again in search of his wayward brothers. He has pizza, presents, and candles.

He got distracted by his at home Make Your Own Yankee Candle! play set for a month. He's a turtle. What kind of attention span are you expecting?

James has been coming to the bar for a while, now.

However, he has never yet seen an anthropomorphic turtle. So forgive him if he stares. Just a bit.

James, puzzled, shifts his gaze to the entranceway, since there seems to be something interesting there.

Perhaps whatever is interesting is only interesting to giant turtles?

James blushes a brilliant red, because, at heart, he's a polite boy.

"Um. I thought I - saw a thing," he improvises, valiantly. "Um. But now it's gone. Oh well."

"Yes," James says, seizing on this gratefully. "It was a tiny elephant. Very tiny. And also very elephantlike."

James shakes it firmly and tries not to mentally count fingers. "I'm James Stanton. Pleased to meet you. Um - I'm sorry for staring, you're just the first turtle I've met, you see."

"I haven't come in all that often," James explains. "Only whenever my barn door decides that it's time for me to waste my evening in a bar." He looks a trifle sulky. "My brothers can come whenever they like, which I don't think is quite fair."

"I'm the second youngest," James confesses, rather ruefully, and then, hastily, "but not the youngest. That's Will. He comes here, sometimes, too. Then I have four older brothers and three sisters. Which is too many by far."

"Will's quiet," James says, darkly. "Too quiet. It sets me on edge sometimes.

And everyone else is always playing the flute or singing or shouting or more singing -"

James is certainly not the worst of the perpetrators with the singing. No sirree. Not our James!

"Our sisters," James says glumly, "wouldn't let us do anything like that.

Even if we wanted to.

Which of course we don't. Um."

"Well. Maybe we do," James confesses. Sneaky like fox." But Gwen and Barbara seem to think they're our mothers, and not our sisters, so it's hard to do anything.

James grins ruefully. "Weirdly enough, it's the youngest of us who acts the oldest.

I mean, Max has got married and all, but Will still acts older than him. It's odd."

James stares at the second Random Kisser of the night, and boggles for a moment, before turning his attention back to Leo, with an effort.

"Yeah - yeah, I'd agree on that one -"
