The bypass door, she finds, is useful for getting from the stable to her room without passing through the bar proper. On a muddy day such as this one was, it's pleasant to not have to see people without being able to clean up first.
And so, when Susan comes down the main stairs, it's mayhap a little later than usual, but she's smiling.

"Susan! Help a gal out? Bar gave me too much!" She's got a large basketful of fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The healthy portion of tonight's meal has long since disappeared.

"Goodeven, Ace-- may yer days be long upon the earth."

She takes one and bites into it, cautiously, before looking pleased.
"I've not had these before -- ye call them 'chips,' ye said?"

"Americans... that's another country on my world, where Eddie's from... they call them french fries, but they're properly called chips. You chip a bit of potato off and fry it, see?" Another chip gets dunked and munched on. "Oh, and I asked Tim about the unicorns. If they're still there, we'll get them after the battle." Assuming they all survive. Assuming they win. Ace isn't about to go into that. It'd ruin her mood.

"... battle?"

"Tim... he's the one on security, the one with the unicorns?" The one I'm going to marry, she doesn't add, "He has a... err... call it 'evil twin', which is not quite right, but close enough to not be confusing. Except only our Tim is real - the other one's not, really. But he's very powerful, and if he kills our Tim," my Tim, "then the 'other' becomes the real one, and basically there'd be no stopping him. We tried to talk him down, or take him out, a week or so ago, and only just escaped. We're going back with what amounts now to an army. The results should be better this time."

"Wish ye success in yer fight, then, and joy at the victory."

"Give ye joy of each other, sai," she says, and oh, but Susan is smiling.

"Ta, Susan. M'still a bit stunned by it."

She looks ruefully amused for some reason.
